One of my best meals is steak. Season both sides of the steak with salt, pepper, a tad of garlic powder and your choice of steak seasonings - place on an olive oiled broiler pan rack and place under the broiler element of your oven. Broil for 8-10 minutes per side - turning once - or until you get the desired doneness that you want - I like mine rare - the less time it cooks the rarer the steak. A nice baked potato with sour cream, butter, bacon, and cheese along with a green veggie such as steamed whole green beans, broccoli, peas or mixed veggies goes well with steak. So do sauteed mushrooms and onions to go on top.
I also make a killer chili, spaghetti sauce and meatloaf.

Lobster Lasagna
(other seafood is fine to use, crab, langostino, even a mild whitefish works well such as talipia in this)
1 (15 ounce) container ricotta cheese
2 eggs
2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 medium onion, minced
1 tablespoon minced garlic
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
2 (16 ounce) jars Alfredo pasta sauce
16 no-boil lasagna noodles
2 pounds cooked and cubed lobster meat
1 (10 ounce) package baby spinach leaves
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease a 9x13
inch baking dish.
In a large bowl, stir together the ricotta cheese, eggs, half of the
Cheddar, half of the mozzarella cheese and half of the Parmesan
cheese. Mix in the onion, garlic, parsley and pepper.
Spread 1 1/2 cups of Alfredo sauce in the bottom of the prepared
baking dish. Top with a layer of lasagna noodles. Arrange 1/3 of the
lobster meat over the noodles, cover with 1/3 of the ricotta cheese
mixture, then 1/3 of the spinach and then another layer of Alfredo
sauce. Repeat this process two more times ending with sauce on top.
Sprinkle the remainder of the Cheddar, mozzarella and Parmesan
cheeses over the top. Give the whole pan a gentle shake to get
everything settled in.
Bake, covered loosely with aluminum foil, for 45 minutes in the
preheated oven. Remove the foil and continue baking for an
additional 10 minutes or until the top is browned. Let stand for 10
minutes before serving.
Love it with a mixed field greens salad with a lite lemon rosemary vinaigrette a glass of white wine and maybe a piece of really good french bread. (depends on my carb days)

Definitely dinner, this evening I'm cooking Beef in Ale Pie with Mashed Potato's and carrots. The recipe for the pie follows:
400g Stewing Steak (cubed)
1 large onion (chopped)
1 bottle of strong Real Ale
250g mixed Mushrooms
100g Flour
Ready made Flaky Pastry
Soak the beef in the beer for at least 12 hours. Place flour in a bowl add salt and pepper, add the beef and coat all pieces in the flour, leave for 10 minutes. Fry the chopped onion in oil until browned then add the floured beef and cooked for 2 minutes, stirring. Add the beer and stir until slightly thickened then add the mushrooms and simmer for 10 minutes. Pour all the contents into an oven proof pie dish, cover with flaky pastry (brush pastry with a little milk). Place in a preheated oven (temp approx 150 electric) and cook for one and a half to two hours, serve with mashed potato and veggies. yum yum x
