In Acts Chapter 10, God tells Peter that he is now allowed to eat the kind of meat that was previously forbidden to the Jews. Verse 15 says, 'The voice spoke to him a second time, "Do not call anything impure that God has made clean." ' Christians are free to eat anything they like, but they can choose to not eat certain things if they want to.

The fast answer is that Jews and Muslims are pretty much never allowed to eat pork while Christians are commonly completely allowed to eat pork. This does not mean bacon ever became healthy and those who observe a kosher diet are usually MUCH healthier than those who do not.
The thing is that no matter how much you quote Romans 14:14 at me (I know and am convinced by the Lord Jesus that there is nothing unclean of itself,) that it doesn't undo the rest of that passage which says (Romans 14:15-23) "but to him who considers anything to be unclean, to him it is unclean. Yet if your brother is grieved because of your food, you are no longer walking in love. Do not destroy with your food the one for whom Christ died. Therefore do not let your good be spoken of as evil; for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. For he who serves Christ in these things is acceptable to God and approved by men. Therefore let us pursue the things which make for peace and the things by which one may edify another. Do not destroy the work of God for the sake of food. All things indeed are pure, but it is evil for the man who eats with offense. It is good neither to eat meat nor drink wine nor do anything by which your brother stumbles or is offended or is made weak. Do you have faith? Have it to yourself before God. Happy is he who does not condemn himself in what he approves. But he who doubts is condemned if he eats, because he does not eat from faith; for whatever is not from faith is sin."
Just real quick know that John 11:55 is "And the Passover of the Jews was near, and many went from the country up to Jerusalem before the Passover, to purify themselves."

The prohibition of pork was part of the dietary laws given to the Israelites. One of many, it kept them from many of the diseases affecting the neighboring nations.
People at that time knew nothing of bacteria and germs but fortunately, Jehovah did. It kept His people safe.
It should make you feel better that He knows how to protect His FAITHFUL people.

In Islam, The Holy Quran mentions the prohibition of the flesh of swine is at three different places; in chapter 2 verse 173, chapter 6:145 and in chapter 16 verse 115 where God says, "Allah (God) has forbidden you only what dies of itself and blood and the flesh of swine and that over which any other name than that of Allah has been invoked; but whoever is driven to(it), not desiring nor exceeding the limit, then surely Allah is forgiving, merciful."
In christianity pork is also prohibited,
In the book of Leviticus, chapter 11, v. 7, it is recorded that God declares the pig to be unclean for believers. Then, in verse 8, God says: “You must not eat their meat or touch their carcasses; they are unclean for you”. This command is repeated in Deuteronomy 14:7-8. Then, in Isaiah 65:2-4, and 66:17, God issues a stern warning against those who eat pork.
This is why the true followers of Jesus, holding on to his teachings, did not let unclean food such as pork enter their mouths, so that Peter, the chief disciple, can say, “I have never eaten anything impure or unclean” (Acts of the Apostles, ch. 10, v. 14).

Judaism, Christanity and Islam forbid the eating of Pork ... because:
*Consumption of pork causes several diseases - some 70 - like roundworm, pinworm, hookworm, tapeworm (Refer to your science book for further details).
*Pork has fat building materials. And you know that Fat is bad for health; one can suffer stress, depressio, even heart attack.
*Apart from pig being the filthiesat animal on Earth, it is also the most shameless animal; inviting its friends to have sex with its mate.
Then, you may wonder that why were pig created by the Almighty?
The answer is simple: To clean Earth of all its rubbish, dirt, filth and keep it clean.

I don't know which version of the Bible Dean S is using, but there is no such verse in John 11:55 in mine.
However, eating swine's flesh is prohibited by God since it is an unclean animal.
Lev 11:7 And the swine, though he divide the hoof, and be cloven-footed, yet he cheweth not the cud; he is unclean to you.
Deu 14:8 And the swine, because it divideth the hoof, yet cheweth not the cud, it is unclean unto you: ye shall not eat of their flesh, nor touch their dead carcass.
Isa 66:17 They that sanctify themselves, and purify themselves in the gardens behind one tree in the midst, eating swine's flesh, and the abomination, and the mouse, shall be consumed together, saith the LORD.
All unclean animals are prohibited and unfit as food because they have been created as - what I like to call - 'vacuum cleaners' of nature. That's why Noah was told to bring both clean and unclean animals into the ark before the floods destroyed everything. Nowadays, almost every animal is riddled with disease. We are supposed to return to the Edenic diet described in
Gen 1:29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.
"Meat" is the biblical word for "food". "Flesh" on the other hand means the same as our modern use of the word "meat".

When God gave Adam the Earth-He made it clear that we are/can eat of every living thing on this Earth.
This would include a pig. It is a dirty animal true-but as you are to pray over your food-Ask God to remove any inpurities that may be in your Pork inspired dish.
