Just a quick question about the FAFSA form. Its asks for my income is that my income for 06 or 07??? How do I get that information?? IRS?? They have alot of different phone numbers I dont know which one to call do they fax info?? Im confused please help this college student out here!!

You can call the IRS at 1-800-829-1040.

If you are lucky and get a nice person, they should be able to fax your tax info including W2's for the 2006 tax year.

You call the number, select option 2, select option 2 again, and then WAIT until it goes through the next set of options (7 I think).
It will ask for your social security number.

When you get a human being on the line, explain that you are filling out your FAFSA and what you need.

If you get a jerk on the line who will only mail it to you, be polite, hang up, dial again. The next person will usually fax it, especially if you tell them you're trying to meet a deadline.

If I need to phone someone that has a lot of numbers... I just phone any one of the Numbers, tell them what you want and they will give you the right number to phone

You need your income tax form you filed for the year 2006. The IRS does not fax you a copy of it because you are supposed to keep a copy for your records.
