Catholics believe that the newest born baby is born with original sin, and that's why it must be baptized. Is that fair?

I don't think that the God I believe in does judge a baby in any way shape or form. I was raised Catholic, and I left the religion as soon as I was grown and aloud to make my own choices. I do not believe in baptism as a baby, it is like getting married in your sleep, it is not a decision you make personally. I believe that baptism is a choice we make as adults, (or of age of understanding), and it must follow being born again.

The baby is not born with a sin it's born with a sinful nature. It means that as we are born we are lenient to do wrong things.Baptizing a baby isn't going to drown the sinful nature that we are all born with.Jesus said that he is going to give us power to overcome sin if we just seek it.

we all sin but I do not think God would judge a new born baby harshly as they do not know right from wrong. I do not think invant baptism means any thing to god its only for the parents.
