Too much of anything can be harmful

Drugs become dangerous when they are your way of dealing with life. They are bad in the sense that they become a coping mechanism for the pain that life naturally throws at you. When the drugs relieve you of your anguish, for how ever long, the problem is still there and doesn't go away-ever. Drugs are the easy way out with the hardest consiquences. The reality is, wherever you go, there you are. Drugs will never change that fact. They will only make life harder because not only will your reality suck, but you will be pulled in to a life of addiction because the pain becomes worse and the drug is the only way out-and only for a little while in comparison to your life span. Please, take it from a severe addict, theyare harmful to you physically and mentally. They will absolutely take their toll on you and ruin your life. Your family, friends, any one who loves or cares about you will suffer as well as yourself. Please try and get some kind of intervention before you become like me. Best of luck :(

there are good benifits to some drugs. for instance if the government would legalize i wouldnt have to spend all my money on marijuana. Instead i would be paying a tax and saving money all of which would be going back into the economy, making me a productive citizen, not to mention the jobs i would get if not for the drug test. in other words its only as bad as society makes it. and society its no worse than drinkin a beer. other drugs... well there bad.

Yes Drugs are really wrong. Illegal drugs especially. some prescription drug also. How do I know. I am a recovering drug addict. They do not make you feel better when you are sad. They make you feel different. Just today a 32 year old female that i knew died because of her addiction to crack, her heart burst. But before her death she spent time in prison for stealing trying to obtain money for crack. This is what using drugs can lead to. Yes it can happen to you. Drug addiction is not prejudiced. it will attack white, black, Asian, rich, poor. If you play with fire you will get burned. My addiction started with a prescription drug called klonopin. (xanax) after 3 years I was addicted. Most people do not realize this but you can die coming off this drug cold turkey, it is worse than trying to come off heroine. I see people at work buy Xanax bars for recreational use and play with this life altering medication this can damage you central nervous system before they know it they will be addicted and seek out other drugs if they are not careful. Go on some boards about drug withdrawals, or better yet go to some Narcotics/Anonymous meetings and here some real life stories about how drugs can truly make your life a living hell. Don't listen to me listen to all the thousands of addicts out there who wish they had never seen the first drug. I wish you the Happiest of all New years.

Yes, street drugs are bad. They mess up your body and can cause many more problems than you think.

Drugs are a lie.

Do you love the lie? It's all ego. Drugs support the Pride by seperating us from truth, which is self-evident.

Waking up to reality is better than escaping it.

Depends on what drugs you are talking about. But then again who am I to try and tell someone how to live their own life or what they can do with themselves or their own bodies. I personally try to keep everything in moderation.

It is kind of funny though because you can smoke pot and be perfectly capable of driving, if anything you will be going under the speed limit. However, someone can get obliterated at a bar, get behind the wheel, not be able to control their car, and crash and kill someone. Yet it is still socially acceptable for someone to drink then it is for someone to smoke. If you really look at the statistics, you will notice that a majority of all fatal car accidents involve a driver who was driving impaired under the influence of alcohol. How many deadly car accidents have you heard of involving smokers of the ganja? Im still waiting to hear of my first one.

As a recovering addict/alcoholic I know from my experience that they damaged my life more than they helped. They also damaged my mind, body, and spirit. Did I have good drug experiences? Yes. But I wish now I had used that money for something useful. Take your money and go somewhere, physically - it's much more rewarding.

The way you worded this question would suggest that you have already cooked your brain cells with drugs!!!

Now a question for you: If you had a child would you want to give him/her drugs??? Perhaps that will help you to work out if they are good or harmful.

Based on what you just said, I would have to guess that you are a kid, and that you've never done any drugs yet.

Drugs do not "make you feel great" nor do they "make you feel better". Primarily, they make you feel DIFFERENT, and often makes you feel stupid. You might be surprised to hear that many adults treasure the feeling of stupidity, so that they can escape their personal demons and the pressure/stress of the real world. You being a kid, you won't understand any of this.

The problem with drugs is that they have a tendency to cause a multitude of physical, psychological, and behavioral problems. Basically, they're expensive, addictive poisons that only worsen whatever problems/issues one might have had to start with.
