I can tell you that most of the charactery is from the Hebrew Alef-bet, which is the Hebrew alphabet equivalent. I don't recognize some of the symbols, but I THINK it might have to do with Kabbalah. It could also be Aramaic instead of Hebrew. You might consider taking it to a rabbi to ask if he can read it. I don't read Hebrew well, unfortuantely; it *might* have to do with Kabbalah, but that's just a hunch on my part.

I hope you will post and let us know. I'm very curious about it - it looks interesting!

It is very beautiful. I thought the first pic might have meant a wiccan symbol but the second I have no idea. Every1 is saying it is some sort of hebrew symbol so I'd start checking there

Suggest you research kabbalah amulets or talisman. The star is related to King Solomon. Here are sites with a similar star and square on the reverse side. Since these pendants are sourced in Israel, they must be Jewish. Apparently, they're good luck or protection talisman. Quite lovely.

It looks vaguely similiar to one of the talismans from the Lesser Key of Solomon. It would be worth while to ask any Jewish friends you might have if they would translate the Hebrew writings on it.

It's very nicely designed, either way, and quite beautiful.

---------

If it is, as I suspect, a talisman from the Lesser Key, then it is not a part of any one particular religion, but is derived from a text on Ceremonial Magick.

Yes, this is a magical talisman, but no, it is not Wiccan in origin.

It's a talisman - used for ceremonial magic. It doesn't look very old. I don't have my book handy of talismans. Hebrew was used a lot in ceremonial magick. It's probably a protection necklace.

Edit: No, most Wiccans wouldn't utilize this. It's more along the lines of Ceremonial Magicians - probably a love spell or attraction energy.
