i know women want independence and all, but despite all the feminism, if you can have independence, deep in your heart is there a large part that wants a man to take care of you.

I think it should be mutual. If you truly love the person, you want to take care of each other. You want to protect them from harm. You wouldn't want to see your man hurt right? I love taking care of my 'Guy' and I love when he protects me. I feel safe and comfortable with him as it should be.

Of course I want to make my own money to satisfy my own bills, BUT…I have found that money means everything and nothing. I have had many men offer to “take care” of me and I have refused. I did not love them. I’d rather live by my own means and be happy then “swindle” a man to be unhappy. Honesty is paramount to happiness. In a perfect world, yes, I would want a man to take care of me. In this world, I'm afraid I am devoted to myself. Hope this helps.

Personally,
I think that men or women play a big role in our lives. Love and Lust has a major portion of what we want from a lover or partner. If your talking about independence then I don't think men or women have anything to do with that part of a persons life. And to answer your question were all human and were always going to search for happiness even when we think our lives are perfect just by ourselves.

No I don't. I have somehow managed to take care of myself all my life and will continue to do so. Guys are useful for a couple of things I can think of, but I can pay my own bills with no problems.

i want to stay at home and cook and clean while my boyfriend works, and i'm a guy, so if i can fess up to it, it should be okay for girls to as well.
