I picked this up recently and am wondering how much it is actualy worth. It is a Stevens Model 311 Series A 12 ga. with a 30" Double Barrel. I was told that that length on a double barrel is rare, and the gun is worth quite a bit of money.

I have used the Gunsamerica website to get a pretty accurate valuing on my firearms, Have it checked out by a gunsmith if it is a used gun, run the serial number through any of a number of websites (do a search for Stevens firearms, serial numbers) that should be able to give you a time frame as to when this particular unit was manufactured, If it is really old I would not use modern ammunition through it as it might not be able to handle the newer loads, might have to reload your own shells. If it has a Damascus barrel In no way would I fire it. Good luck on finding what your looking for.
