I have a miniature Dachshund 10 week old puppy.. every time he eats he throws up, there are times I believe he gets food down cause he has energy play, but overall he throws up more than he should, its every day and almost every meal, then after he is down he keeps trying to eat it and then he just keeps throwing it up, I have taken him to the vet and they say his weight is fine and that the throwing up is normal, what is wrong with my puppy should i get a new vet or force them to look further into this?

Get a new vet. It is not at all normal for a dog to throw up every time they eat. How could a dog get any nutrition at all if they toss their food every time they eat anything? Your vet doesn't listen and isn't taking you serious, you need a new vet who cares about your concerns and your pet.

Does he eat too much food? Or eat too fast? I have seen pups do this many times. They get very excited and eat too quickly.
I agree with the vet, if his weight is fine and his energy levels are fine, let him mature some more and see if it stops.
Try feeding him in small amounts frequently and/or soften his dry food w/ warm water.

Dogs often throw up after eating WAY too fast. You can put some big rocks or other big non chewable items in his dish so that he hsa to maneuver his way around htem to eat. This shuold really slow down his eating and hopefully help him keep his food down.

Feed it small amounts. Maybe it is eating so much it pukes it up. Give it a little food every couple of hours and see if it slows down.

Have the vet check him for megaesophagus,a conditon in which the esophagus is too wide, and the food won't stay down. There are various treatments, but no cure, but no,it's not normal for puppies to vomit every time they eat.He could also have acid reflux.

the food may be too rich for his tummy- my dogs were eating weetbix and puppy milk still at that age after 12wks we slowly introduced harder foods that the tummy could handle

It could be worms... If you notice him become lethargic, it could be parvo. He could just be allergic to something in the food... have you tried any other kinds of food?
