Ever wondered why some holidays are called Bank Holidays?

Look at the calendar.
If today is not called a Bank Holiday - then the banks are NOT having a holiday.

Hello Hannah,

Yes, banks are open today but they may not be open for as longl.

For example Lloyds TSB will close at 3pm today. closed tomorrow and open for their normal opening times from 2 Jan 08.

To find out your bank's opening times today, either ring their customer support centre (which should be open|) or look at their website.

Banks are open for normal working-day hours. Please check specific bank website for exact opening hours for that branch.
E.g. All Lloyds TSB Sale branches are open 09:00 - 16:30 as normal.

I think they're open at least part of the day. I think they're only closed all day tomorrow.
