hmm, tough question, neither is particularly good car for the long term, but both should be cheap (under $3500). I don't know much about the Sonata's that old, but there was nothing special about the Sentra clone G20. The deciding factor for me would be the condition and maintainence that's been performed on each vehicle. It's highly recommended that you have both cars inspected by a mechanic to check for problems prior to purchase, that could save you alot of money over the next few months. When dealing with cars that old you want to be careful since you likely can't afford a major repair right after buying the car.
