Righty right right. 'Course I say this 'cause, well, you know ... obviously.
But, I am sure people of other religion will say otherwise. This is probably a good question for bias answers. xD

As a Jew I can clearly and plainly aver that there are 'right' and 'wrong' Catholics just as there are 'right' and 'wrong' Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, etc.
Let me remind you of the Crusades, the Protestant Reformation, the manipulation of the native peoples of South America, abortion issues, birth control issues, molesting by priests and that Pope business.
I know 'good' Catholics and 'bad' Catholics, etc.
Catholics are shame based...ie, 'dirty body parts', original sin and the here after.
Note: NOWHERE in the KJV of the HB does it say ANYTHING about this St. Peter awaiting you at some golden gate with a log book of your deeds. It also says NOTHING even resembling the fact that there is 'a life in heaven or hell after death.
It states that in death it will be like sleep w/o dreams until this so called second coming.
That's my opinion.
Question for you...how many 'human beings are supposedly in heaven NOW? The answer is in th Old Testament. Nowhere does it say ANYTHING about Mary (mother of Jesus being) translated or 'taken up' into heaven in corporeal form.
Peace.

100%wrong!!! they are tought that you get to heaven by being a good person and doing good works, they say thats what it says in the bible but it really doenst they only read part of the passage and abuse it, cuz they are switcheing the meaning. but the real way to heaven is not based on works, all you have to do is simply trust in the Lord Jesus Christ that he was sent down to earth to die for your sins and truly believe in Him!!!!! that is all and after your saved there is a saying that God says about He will never let anyone steel you away from him, once our TRULY saved there is no going back. also once your saved your life will be brand new to start fresh and you will see your self starting to change into a better person how God wants you to be and to maintain your relationship with Him you should read His words in the bible.

Whatever they do and believe my friend,
if they feel peace of mind and from it, they behave like decent and good people in the society,
then they are right.
So are the hindus, protestants, muslims, etc.
No religion hold a copyright on god and peace of mind.
Everybody is right if they do right.

i'm sure if they are catholic, they are right....just as a baptist has slightly different beliefs...and a methodist will have different beliefs. just because the beliefs are different, doesn't make them right or wrong, just as long as they believe in something!

You may need to get more specific with this question, but to answer it as it is: Of course I believe the Church is right, if I didn't I wouldn't remain Catholic -- in fact, I wouldn't have converted (from Baptist) in the first place.

Right because Jesus said so.
Matt. 18:17-18 - the Church (not Scripture) is the final authority on questions of the faith. This demands infallibility when teaching the faith. She must be prevented from teaching error in order to lead her members to the fullness of salvation.
Matt. 10:20; Luke 12:12 - Jesus tells His apostles it is not they who speak, but the Spirit of their Father speaking through them. If the Spirit is the one speaking and leading the Church, the Church cannot err on matters of faith and morals.
Matt. 16:18 - Jesus promises the gates of Hades would never prevail against the Church. This requires that the Church teach infallibly. If the Church did not have the gift of infallibility, the gates of Hades and error would prevail. Also, since the Catholic Church was the only Church that existed up until the Reformation, those who follow the Protestant reformers call Christ a liar by saying that Hades did prevail.
Matt. 16:19 - for Jesus to give Peter and the apostles, mere human beings, the authority to bind in heaven what they bound on earth requires infallibility. This is a gift of the Holy Spirit and has nothing to do with the holiness of the person receiving the gift.
Luke 10:16 - whoever hears you, hears me. Whoever rejects you, rejects me. Jesus is very clear that the bishops of the Church speak with Christ's infallible authority.
Matt. 28:20 - Jesus promises that He will be with the Church always. Jesus' presence in the Church assures infallible teaching on faith and morals. With Jesus present, we can never be deceived.
