Dear fried,

You may please understand that Lord Jesus Christ is beyond any Religion. He was a great Teacher, who with his great preaching taught world the importance of Love, Compassion etc. needed for a worthy living. Those who follow His teachings and way of living are called Christians & Religion - Christanity.

Thefore, you must be clear in this regard that Lord Jesus Christ do not belong to any religion and He did not work for to create a religion of his own.

With regards,

He was a Hebrew. The religion wasn't labeled specifically as Jewish until after the time of Christ. Now days the distinction between being Jewish and being Christian stems from the fact that Jewish people believe in the future coming of a Messiah. Christians believe that the Messiah of Judaism already came in the form of Jesus Christ.

Jesus (Yeshua in Aramaic) was a Jew. So, his base religion was Judaism. He had some pretty radical ideas for his time and taught a very experience based tradition. We believe that Gnostic Christianity is the closest to what he taught.

BTW... Christ comes from the Greek word Christos which means "Annointed One". It's the same as Messiah in Hebrew. So.. Christ is not a name, but a title.

While he was alive he practiced judaism and went to synagogue every day to pray with other jews. The church deleted the records of most of his life (first 30 years) because it was 'too jewish' and revolved around his temple life. He even kept kosher!

You could say he's the most famous Jew who has ever lived :) I don't think he'd be happy to see how Christians are Jew-bashers for the most part these days considering he was a Jew himself and christianity only came about after his death as people applied principles and labels to him and called him the messiah whereas in judaism the messiah has not come yet. God told Jews not to accept him as the messiah whereupon christians started to hate jews, forcing them to convert to christianity to accept christ as the messiah, or else killing them if they didn't through the Crusades, the equivilent to Islam of today where Islam is trying to force their religion down the world's throat, intolerant of other religions. Jews have never in history forced anyone to believe in their religion or killed them if they didn't convert to judaism as Christians and Islam have done to millions and millions over the years. Shame, shame.

There were many sects of Judaism in Jesus' day. He can best be described as an escatalogical Jew - meaning that he believed that the end of the world was imminent and soon coming.

Jesus Christ was Jewish. His apostles and followers took His teachings and Christianity came from His direct teachings.

Jesus is a Savior. Many denominations claim to worship Him, but if the teaching isn't straight out of the Bible, then it's not a true follower of Him. The Bible states no one is to add or take away anything out of the Bible.

If you wanted to know him you could read the Bible. If you allow Him into your life, then you will know whom He is, it will be inside your heart.

Kindest regards.

He wasn't of this world. He was all His own. there is none like Him. He changed everything. Jesus is the anti-religion.
