Am I the only one who finds this curious:
That most Christians were raised as Christians,
That most Muslims were raised Muslim,
That most Buddhists were raised Bhuddhist,
Etc.
Does anyone see a pattern here?
If any one religion were so overwhelmingly convincing why the above?
And this is just for those "I have made Jesus my personal savior" type people:
if GOD were SO DETERMINED that "ONLY through Jesus are we saved," then how can HE be so uncaring and callous NOT to make sure all other people have had a chance to be informed about this?

Interesting question. I recently have joined the path to discover this myself. So far I have found more questions than answers. Alas this is what I believe to date and it is subject to change: I believe that there is a greater power such as a god. I believe that after death there is something, whether it is a life in heaven or reincarnation, I am not sure. I think that life is a combination of both religious beliefs and science findings. There is a book I heard of that says they are completely compatible (I can't recall the title right now) but I plan to read it. As a science oriented person I would like to believe that science is very correct in its findings, but there are those things that science can't explain.
I hope to choose my path soon as there is no guarantee of tomorrow, but I know the importance of this decision so I will not rush it.
I wish you the best of luck with your search!

You know what i feel this same way. Like Christians think Buddhists are wrong and may go to hell for believing in a false god but what is that's whats right. Who can truly say whose god is the right god and who will be condemned to hell. What if because of the believers every religion is correct and everyone will go to their own "heaven" what ever that may be. Tats y i feel we should believe what we feel in our hearts is right not what someone make us believe.

Well, There is no concrete proof of god. Christianity is a faith based religion. I personally believe in god. As for who is right? Who's to say. One of the great things about America is freedom of religion. Do some research and choose which ever suits you.

Its true there are a lot of religions, but notice how God let us pick our own destiny by seeing which religion is right. I believe that there will be a day which is judgment day for all mankind since God made the world and he will have all people in groups of what they believe in. The group who believes there is ONE God only and no one else will prosper. I wish everyone the knowledge to pick that religion in which is ISLAM. God help everyone on their choice of destiny.

I am a Christian. And as a Christian I think that Jesus is right.
This is what Jesus said:
John 3
17 "For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son."
If Jesus was right, then it disallows whatever Muslims, Buddhists, Jews, and others say. Either Jesus was right, or you need to keep looking.

God doesn't care what religion you are. God is God and he loves everyone the same no matter what. God is the same today, tomorrow and forever more. He never changes. He never said life would be easy but that he would never forsake you. If God has ever let you down then you will be the first, but it will never happen. He already knows our fate because he started it and he will finish it.

There is a story which might answer your question.
Six blind men went to see the elephant. The first put out his hand, and encountered the elephant's trunk. The second touched the elephant's ear. The third touched its tusk. Another touched its leg, another its side, and the last man its tail.
"Ah," said the first. "The elephant is like a snake."
"No," said the second. "The elephant is like a fan."
"You're both wrong," said the third. "The elephant is like a spear."
"A spear!" laughed the fourth. "The elephant is like a tree!"
"You're all wrong," the fifth said, "The elephant is like a great broad wall."
"I say it's like a rope," the sixth man said, "So obviously you're all wrong."
And of course, they are all right. And they are all wrong.
God is like an elephant.

Buddhists don't really believe in a God, unlike Muslims and Christians (who actually believe in the same God!). However most Buddhists I've met (including myself) believe that there is a God (divine spirit, etc), but we haven't discovered he/she/it yet. P.S. I'm Buddhist.
