Try to get into your stand about and hour before daylight. Even if you have to use a flashlight. That will give you plenty of time to get settled and not make any additional noise that might spook any Deer in the area.....If you take a break from hunting during mid-day, make sure you are back in your stand an hour (at least) before it gets dark (Too dark to see Deer) The early morning and late afternoon times are "PRIMO" Deer movement times and that is when you will see the most Deer movement.Good Luck!

I try and be in my stand sitting and ready a full hour before shooting light. Realistically i don't think you need to be in the stand more than a half hour, but i like to be in my stand sitting when other hunters may be entering the woods. Other hunters could push something towards you, and when shooting light comes around you are ready and waiting. For the night hunt go out as soon as you can and sit for as long as you can. You can't get a deer sitting at home.

I like to get to my stand at least 30 minutes before it gets light. In the evenings, I like to get there at least 2 hours before dark and stay until about 30 minutes after sunset. In most jurisdictions legal hunting time is from official sunrise until official sunset. Some places allow some leeway by setting the official hours from a specified few minutes before sunrise until a specified few minutes after sunset.
