I am bulimic, and all i can think about is binging, purging, fasting, excercising, calories, fat. Thats all I can think about, at school, at home, at dance, with friends. I can never focus on anything. I am suppose to be working on science fair but I am too busy watching videos about eating disorders or excercising or purging. I NEED HELP. ITS TAKING OVER MY LIFE! What can I do? I really dont want to tell my parents, my ex boyfriend knows and my best friends know. Do you think they can help me. I dont want to recover, but I want it to stop taking up such a huge part of my life.

I know this isn't the answer that you are looking for.. But in all seriousness, if your eating disorder is taking over your life, you need to seek professional help.
Your best friends aren't going to be able to help you with this sweetie. If you really want to see an improvement, you are going to need to take it a step further to counseling. This condition has the ability to get far worse than you are experiencing it right now.
If you aren't willing to seek help, you are going to have to attempt self-discipline. You need to tell yourself that you need to stop, and work towards staying true to yourself. You are in control of what decisions you making as far as binging, purging, and exercising. If you really put your mind to it, it's possible to put a stop to it all. You NEED to recover hun.

You MUST recover - before these feelings destroy you entirely. Ok I appreciate you don't want your parents to know - that's fair enough (for the present) BUT you MUST make an appointment and see your family GP because your REALLY need 'professional' help with this. Don't worry - the Doctor cannot tell your parents anything without your permission - this is called the Doctor's confidentiality.
Good luck with it.

The only way for it to stop taking over your life is to recover. Sorry, that is the only answer.
Tell your parents and see a doctor.

I used to be bulimic myself and I know how hard it is, although I have been fully recovered for some years now.
The part of your question that worries me is where you say 'I don't want to recover' because you need to have that willpower, to actually want to recover, before anyone can help you. As much as your friends can be there for you and support you, they're not in a position to really help you get through this.
I know this isn't what you want to hear but you really need to get some professional help. Book a Dr's appointment, take a friend with you if you like - the Dr won't tell your parents. They can refer you to a counsellor so you can speak to someone in-depth about why you're doing this and how you can get better. It will take time and you'll have ups and downs along the way but it will be worth it in the end.
Good luck and I hope everything works out for you xxx

i know how you feel but i don't really know how to help you if you don't want to get better... we've gto ourselves into this mess and now you have to find a way out of it ot deal with the consequences... I'm a perfectionist so i quite like having projects to work on becuase you can spend a day trying to make something else pefect- instead of your body- . Calories, fat, food nd purging are just a background noise to my world now and i guess ive just got used to the noise lol
talking to people helps and maybe one day they can help you enough to let you get better! gd luck! x

You friends can help you in that they can be there for you, a shoulder to cry on, reassure you, encourage you and listen to you. However you also need professional help. You are not going to beat this on its own. Could you make an appointment and see your gp. It may be easier ifyou write down a list of things you want to say before you, and had that over, a lot of people have difficulty talking to their doctor.
In the meanwhile try looking at these sites, they are support sites which are pro recovery, and aimed to support you to get better

Good luck, and despite others answers it isn't something you can snap out of or recover from over night.

Get in touch with an eating disorders helpline (in the UK it's EDA) and talk to them. You need to understand that your final statement is nonsensical. You either want help and want to recover or you don't want help and don't want to recover - you can't mix them both.
