I caught my son stealing a toy from a friend of his, so I didn't allow him to go trick or treating on Halloween. I felt terrible about it, but it wasn't the first time he had stolen something, and I had to do something that would really hurt him.

Took away the ability to use the computer for the day. I did not back down or lessen it, as it was a thought out punishment to begin with. And it worked.

well my son is 8 months old and too young to be punished but I have punished my cousin after she knocked my comp monitor off the table by throwing her favorite doll down the disposal she was 13 and yea she deserved it

I try not to spank them but i did. The worse for them is asked them to hold left ear with right hand and right ear with left hand, then go up and down for 20 times (no resting)! imagine a 4 yr old boy to do that, can't even stand for 10 times. I've asked him to choose which to punish him and he rather let me hit his hand 3 times...
I do feel bad but I never show it to my kids, I will let them know that spanking them is because they did something wrong not because I like to.

I grounded my daughter the day before Prom. She snuck out of the house and went and met up with her boyfriend. She knew better. It was her own fault not mine.

my 12 year old, Leah, was 11 at the time but she went to a party at 8.00 w/o me knowing and the cops brought her home so i made her clean up the house until her b-day.
my 8 year old, Kelsey, called me a whore and ***** so i put soap in her mouth and grounded her for 3 weeks.
my 1 year old, Dakota, didnt do anything...yet.
