Hypothetical News Story
Jill: And now with Jack on the mysterious disappearance of millions of people.
Jack: Thanks Jill. Millions of people have mysteriously vanished without a trace. Scientists are baffled. Could it be a aliens? Or maybe we are living in the time of the Rapture. Who knows? Lets go live now to Bob who is with the arch bishop of new york. are you there Bob?
Bob: Yeah Jack, I am here with Archbishop who has informed me that this is the Rapture. Catholics all over the world are baffled. I have just learned that all the people who have disappeared are reportedly Mormons.
Jack: Mormons?
Bob: Yeah Jack, Mormons. Who would have thought such a crazy religion would have been the right one? Certainly not this reporter. Back to you Jack.
Jack: We will be checking in periodically with Bob to get updates from the Archbishop. In further news, riots have broken out simeltaneously around the world. We are going to go live with Steve who is downtown reporting on the local riot. Steve are you there?
Steve: Yeah Jack, I am here. It is pure chaos down here. Sheer pandomonium. People are looting everything in site.
Jack: Where are the police officers?
Steve: Oh they are here. Look there goes one with a 42" Sony Bravia LCD.
Jack: Thats a nice tv. I have one of those in my bedroom.
Jill: It is a nice tv. I've seen it.
Jack: Uhhhh......Back to you Steve.
Steve: Hey thats my camera. Stop trying to take our camera. I need it for the report. Hey don't come any closer. Ouch. That hurts. Stop hitting me. Stop it, stop kicking me. No don't shoot me. Take the camera. Take my wallet. (BANG) For the love of Gaw----eehhhhhhh?
Jack: Our thoughts and prayers are with Steves family.
Jill: And now for the weather. We give you to Lacy.
Lacy: Looks like the weather is going to be in the upper 90's with a good chance of Hell.

There is much disagreement amongst rapture proponents over when the rapture will occur in relation to the Tribulation, a seven-year period preceding the second coming of Christ to the earth, or indeed, if the duration of the Tribulation will be seven years or only a 3 1/2 year period. Some understand the tribulation of Matthew 24 as having already taken place in 70 AD at the destruction of Jerusalem. (see Preterism). Three different views predominate. The first is that it will take place sometime prior to the Tribulation. The second is that it will take place mid-way through the Tribulation.
The third is that it will take place after the Tribulation, when Christ comes to earth to establish his kingdom, the Kingdom of God, taking over rulership of the world for
1,000 years.
(see Millennialism). A fourth view has recently developed, called the Pre-Wrath view.

To be quite honest I don't think it will happen that way.
From reading the scriptures I do think that when Christ returns it will be the rapture and judgment day at the same time. 1/3 of the world will not suddenly "vanish". The Christians that are here on earth when Christ returns will be instantly translated into their new spiritual bodies as corruption cannot inherit incorruption. Then the rest of the earth and anyone who has ever lived and died without ever coming to faith in God will be resurrected and stand before the judgment seat of Christ to be judged according to their works. It's going to be one major universal event and everyone will know what it's about and why it's happening.

anybody is meant to be carried off and then advised in the event that they get to stay or no longer. First, understand the belief of "Rapture" isn't formally religious or in the bible. that's a valid chunk positioned out with the help of a clean age minister in 1860 in line with a saying for a 15 3 hundred and sixty 5 days previous woman in 1830 names Margaret MacDonald. even nonetheless it does describe a Biblical experience. what's meant to ensue is there is meant to be rivers and lakes of hearth on earth, plague, pestilance and primary discord. we are all meant to be taken as much as, truly a waiting room the place St. Peter calls the final individual first and the 1st individual final and tells you in the experience that your call is in the e book of existence. no count if it is, you reside there and bypass to what's called "heaven" or the intense high quality place. If that's no longer, you bypass back to the rivers and firey lakes.

The 1/3 of humanity who will vanish into thin air during the Rapture, have no business driving cars or operating heavy machinery. Christians! Turn in your driver's licenses now!

Some will be affected, and many will forget it. They might bring it up in conversation, but they will speak about it like they do a memorable world leader - or something like that.
It's not as if they won't be busy. All the disasters that will come in those times. It seems that communication will be at least disrupted.

After studying the Bible thoroughly about the Rapture, I really don't believe there is one. None of the church fathers spoke of it, and it wasn't even really talked about until the 1830's.
