I have windows vista. I do a lot of work with pictures and when I have a folder open, windows explorer crashes when I try to cut folders so i can put them somewhere else. Why does it keep crashing?

you can't "cut" a folder that's open ... try closing it before you Cut or copy and paste then delete the original should solve your issue

Before running tasks in Vista, disable all widgets and any active 'dreamscene' running in the background. That's just how Vista works, it hogs memory.

Make sure you are not cutting a folder that is not already opened, because it will just go unresponsive.
