I'm not a photographer or anything but I was just wondering if I could get your opinions on these pictures I took. Thank You.

Honestly? They are snap-shots.
You used on-camera flash, harsh. The best thing to say is that the green pupils match the green ribbon.
I absolutely love your energy and enthusiasm. Please keep at it!

You have a great eye for mood and character. Of course knowing how better to program, set up a camera for best exposure is the next step. But what you've got is the major one. Congratulations!!
BTW, taking a shot of a dark animal, like the first, is a majorly undertaking. Even skilled photogs struggle with this. You did pretty well, especially with your equipment. Go girl!

These are good happy-snaps for your record. At the end, it depends on what you are going to use them for. In some cases they might be considered as not acceptable (camera clubs) but in other cases (like scrap booking) they can be totally useful.
#1 - well done with the eyes!
#2 - not to my liking - composition and vantage point is not good.
#3 - exposure not to bad, but cropping and angle of view could be improved.
#4 - very nice close-up!

I agree that these are snapshots. However, I have a suggestion to you if you are aiming to create more polished and "professional" looking photographs...stop worrying about the content of your photos and start worrying about the light. Photography is about light first and content second. Photograph light for a month and see what you learn, then go back to your cats or your boyfriend and see how you see them differently.

Cute kitties. Bro's tattoo, not so much :-)
Snapshots, all, but not a bad job. If you're interested in photography get a couple of books and begin to learn the nuances and technical stuff. "Understanding Exposure", by Bryan Peterson would be a good place to start. Study your camera manual to get the most from the equipment you have. Best wishes.
