i lost a cat 30 mos. ago. she wandered a lot when she was a kitten even after 2 weeks she came back. i have looked at her many a time when she crossed the street but she actually looked both ways (im actually serious)
she is my favorite cat but i think that the reason that she ran away is that she was at my dads house but she had to move to my moms b/c of an allergic stepbrother. but she has visited my moms house before and once she ran away from it and 4 days later (3 minutes after my mom had called me and made me bawl my eyes out) she came back. she always comes when she is called and i really want her back. is there still hope? my dads house is only 4 miles away so is there a chance that she is still finding her way there? tips for finding her? should i be posting flyers? should i be looking in shelters? shes a very friendly kitty so do you think that someone could have taken her in? her name is luna. if someone could give me tips that would be great. thank you!. i need her!!!!!!!!

You should have posted flyers in your neighborhood and contacted local vets and shelters to make sure no one thought she was a stray and took her in.
Do so now- you should have done so right when you realized she was gone.

3 months or 30 months? The outdoors is a VERY dangerous place for a cat. And you let her wander around outside even as a KITTEN? If this was the most "beloved" cat you've ever had - why did you let it outside????

If you do get another cat please educate yourself about the dangers of the outdoors. Hopefully someone else took her in and has her now but odds are she probably isn't still alive - http://www.littlebigcat.com/index.php?action=library&act=show&item=indoorsoroutdoors

She may come home or has found another home.
I have had cats that stay away for two years and come back for awhile
