I received a speeding ticket and I am curious about the cost for each mile and hour of being over the limit. For example I was going 73 in a 55 MPH zone. So I am wondering how much I'm going to have to pay.

You will very soon get a courtesy notice from the court telling you what the total fine is. If you sign up for traffic school, the ticket will be dismissed and not show up on your driving record.

Inquire at the Police Headquarters on how will be the fine. Pay the fine immediately and cite mitigating circumstances to lower the penalty.
