My boyfriend wants me to choose a different name but I can't think of any. He is just so cute and he is my baby. Does anyone see a problem with this name?

If you like it, then it's fine to name him. Is he completely your dog? If so, you have every right to name him whatever you want. If your boyfriend co-owns the dog, you should probably try to work on a name together. It is not fair if he pays for the dog but doesn't even get to help name him! =)

Just please, whatever you do, don't name him anything ridiculous like "killer" or "psycho". These dogs have a hard enough time fighting off their undeserved reputation!

Well, a slight problem. "Baby" is a cute name for a puppy, but your Rottie is going to grow up to be a big boy someday soon and that name isn`t going to suit his breed and size. Maybe a name such as "Bailey" which is similar to the name you now call him might be a better choice. He`s your dog, so call him whatever pleases you, but an 80 or 90 lb male dog called, Baby, kind of leaves you open to some snide remarks in the future.

I don't see anything wrong with it. Whatever name fits the animal, is a good name. I got two cats, and they didn't have names for months...I just started calling them what fit, and the female was "Little Girl". It just fit. I have a 6 year old Rottie..and her name is Paige.

Whatever you want to call him is the perfect name. He has NO idea what that there is a diffrence between Baby or ManKiller. All he knows is it's the word his favorite person uses to call him. BTW, My Rotties name was Fluffy.

Sorry to say but i would have to agree with your boyfriend. Because just for the simple fact that your dog is a male. And on top of that not only is it male but one day it is going to be a BIG male!!

I think you should think about this - when your rottie is 125 lbs. or more, do you really think he wants to be called Baby?

No. It's better than something stereotypically "tough" like Rocco or Duke (no offense to anyone who named their dogs that) I think it's cute :) If your bf does not like it, he can get his own dog and name it whatever he wants :)
