Black, and Killzone are the best 2 shooters on the PS2 in my opinion.
The graphics in Black may surprise you, it had very good graphics for a PS2 game. I think that Black came out in 2006 and Killzone came out in 2004 or 2005, so they are pretty relavant.
Also, there is going to be Killzone 2 and Black 2 next year for the PS3 so playing the PS2 versions is a must. I know that Killzone 2 is coming out sometime this Spring, and Black 2 is coming out sometime later on.
