i admire: Burton Volcom instructions North Face Roxy has lovable stuff yet seems a sprint "much less costly" Burton is made for snowboard/snowboarding and is extremely intense high quality and is extremely stylish and Burton is oftentimes the "form-setter"! i found an ideas-blowing $2 hundred.00 Burton Ski jacket for in easy terms $80.00, so go searching there are some incredible deals available!

Helmet! My friend would have died if he wasn't wearing a helmet his first time skiing. He lost control and hit a tree. He was very concused. Also long underwear warm jacket, snowpants, gloves, and goggles

Don't wear a helmet! You only need one if you're going for real hard-core off-piste (unlikely as a beginner!) or if you're a bit of a wuss.
Take a small back-pack. Won't affect your balance if you only put a couple of bits in and it can be really handy having a snack or a drink in there.
Basics are to get some decent warm ski-tubes (socks,) then as long as you have snowproof pants, a jacket and goggles you'll be fine - woolly hats are good too to keep your ears warm! under that doesn't really matter - just be comfortable.
Oh, and if you might have a pop at boarding, probably worth getting some padded shorts too!

warm wool socks
mittens
goggles
and for the love of all things good and holy wear a helmet.
