What are your grades and extra curricular activities at school? I would also try taking again for a higher score and also try the SAT.

1. Scholarships are focused on a variety of things, not just scores. Grades, SAT/ACT, extracurriculars. Although I honestly HATE how colleges look at absolutely EVERYTHING. I'd have a party if scholarships were focused ONLY on SAT scores and GPA. (got above 95th national percentile on 2/3 sections of the SAT).

2. A 23 is in about the 68th percentile for ACT scores. That means, that 32% of people who took the test (and remember, there are a lot of idiots who take the ACT), beat you. Sorry for the tough love, but its the truth.

3. I would consider taking the SAT. The SAT and ACT are for different people. The SAT is more straightforward, and better for people who's strong areas are leaned more towards math. If you're really serious about scholarships, with that score, I'd go take the SAT.

No, it is not good enough for a merit scholarship. If there is time to take it again before graduating from high school, take it again. Also, schools will look at your GPA for merit scholarships in addition to your ACT score. I will include some other free resources to locate scholarship money.

First, your high school guidance office has a list of local scholarships. These are typically the easiest to get compared to nationally based ones.

Second, your local public library has a book listing college scholarships with some not even listed on the web.

Finally, join several free membership scholarship search websites. You enter a profile and it will search for scholarships based on your profile. there is a scholarship for almost anything including wearing duct tape to the prom.

Good luck!

well 23 isnt a really high scores, but there r other scholarships that doesnt require high test scores.

but if you really need money for college, you should fill out FAFSA. basically FAFSA can pays u most of the college tuition, so dont worry too much. ( if the federal aid isnt enough, then borrow some loans ).
