its not like they "should" start cussing. I am 18 and i rarely ever cuss.

Some people cuss all the time (like my 5 brothers) but i don't see the point of it. I can find better words to express how i feel. I think it makes the person saying those words sound ignorant.

If a 9 and 10 yr old has behavior like that now, i would hate to see how they turn out later in life.

It would actually be a lot better if kids didn't cuss, and the average age where it seems to start happening is between 10-14 years old, shockingly.
Kids wont learn how to cuss if they aren't exposed to an environment with cussing, or if their parents teach them better, simple as that.

Never. It's not like cussing is cool or something that they should do to fit in or anything. Cuss words are just words that people with small vocabularies use to fill in there sentences where they could use real words.

as i was reading some of the answers i think they are really unrealistic kids should not cuss at all. teens have a little le-way but as long as they don't cuss in the presence of an adult there is no age limit.

i dont think that kids 9 and 10 should be cussing... i think that if u r going to cuss at all it would be like late high school at the earliest.

Children shouldn't but I believe it becomes socially acceptable around 15 or 16 as thats when kids begin driving. I find that if a high school aged person is old enough to operate a car, they have gained the right to speak as an adult because thats what they are - young adults.

Why should or why would you want them to start cussing? There is enough of that on TV & music!!! Unfortunately kids copy whats in the media and their friends.
