no meal, its just peepl over for drinks, im thinking 8.45-9.00 as it starts to get dark

Call and find out a start time. If you are no longer in college or hanging out with frat boys, then it's incredibly rude to show up too late to a party. 30-45 mins after a start time, if you have a good excuse and there will be plenty of people attending so that your lateness won't be noticed. : )

Being late is never fashionable. If the party starts at 10:00 p.m., get there as close to 10:00 p.m. as possible.

We start drinking a 8-9pm and will be drinking until about 5-6am, thats the way it is every year. I would rather be early to drink more beer

If there's no start time, how would you know if you're late or on time?
Fashionably late is good for most get-togethers, but if your host/hostess is having a sit-down meal, PLEASE be on time!
