He had an incredible and positive message. I'd love it if people actually followed it. Demi-god or not, he's a leader worth following. Too bad people have completely twisted and corrupted his message. It's a fraud to use his image to promote the Christianity we have today.

I think he was someone who was worth following for the most part - he defended the poor and the weak, he served and helped people without expecting anything in return, he healed the sick and did not shun children, he embraced people of all walks of life and he forgave those who committed mistakes against him. He also was an open minded person, and he was a good friend. Most of all, he was a pacifist - the taught peace. I think he would have done a tad better if only he had a liberal education in a present-day university, that way I think he would be a modern day Gandhi.

I'm agnostic, but that's usually good enough around here...

From the evidence I've seen on the subject I'm inclined to believe that he was a nice, charismatic, motivational guy with a lot of good ideas. I could be wrong--but I really can't see how anybody with anything but good intentions could have gained such a large following, inspire such piety and had such long-lasting influence.

I'm a Deist. I believe Jesus was a great moral teacher, but I reject that he performed miracles nor did he claim to be the messiah.

A lousy but a delusional and yet charismatic carpenter (Something like Aum Shinrikyo of the Japanese) who had a little twist for his religion and later used by a Roman Emperor as a political tool against the Pagans.

I have total respect for Buddha based on the behavior of his followers. That is totally indicative as to the effectiveness of the prophet involved.

If that same criteria is applied to rating Jesus's teachings, it doesn't look too positive for him.

I'm sure he was a nice guy, who was trying to present an actual message to people, and honestly believed what he was saying. But, I think it got picked up by people in power and used for control, and for greedy reasons.

He sounded like a pretty awesome guy, but not the son of God, just someone who tried to make the world a better place by asking people to love each other and stuff.

I look at him more as a social activist - he wanted to make life better for the greater population and didn't care if he rocked the boat to do it. I think as far as humans go he gives the appearance of being wise, but also he was a product of his time as there are some things he supposedly said I don't agree with; however, by and far most of it has sense and value. However, when it comes to the bible, I will say I'm somewhat skeptical about what his true words are as any person who did the writing could have put their own twist on it.

Seemed like a peaceful, anti-establishment kind of guy. I'm in favor.
