My old girlfriend leave, but she also leave her stuff, I try to give it back to her but she do not want it, so now it belongs to me. Some of the stuff she leave behind is very nice like manicure set or sexy underwears. My new girlfriend have a birthday coming up. Would it be fine to give her some sexy underwears that once belong to old girlfriend?

You do not give used underwear or a manicure set as a gift for a birthday. (Even if unopened.) If you want to tell her why you have them and ask her if she wants them - that is a different story.

Don't be a cheapskate - buy her a gift. I have a feeling I know why your X-gf is an X.

There's an American saying that goes, "Out with the old and in with the new". Seems like there is a transition problem here. That isn't regifting or recycling, that's just, CHEAP and TACKY. Altho, the manicure set, might come in handy, so this unaware g/f could sharpen her nails!!!!!

And, if this girl ever finds out where the "sexy underwears" came from, she won't need em anyway.

No its never acceptable to give things to new girlfriends that once belonged to your old girlfriends. Imagine how horrified they would be if they found out that piece of information, I know i would horrified. Wouldn't them using the gift remind you of an ex? I think its just very rude and also a little insulting that they aren't good enough to receive something that hasn't been tainted by past lovers. Basically what your saying is that, the new girlfriend is just not important to you...or is as important as your ex. Probably not a good thing.

NO NO NO NO NO, that is just so cheap. Maybe the reason your old girlfriend left is because you recycled your old old girlfriends stuff to her by the sounds of it. And underwear of all things!!!! Listen if you value your new girlfriend then get off your cheap lazy backside and go and BUY yes buy with your own money something that says 'you are so worth it'...

No it is not acceptable to give a gift to someone that used to belong to someone else. Especially underwear worn by a prior person...doesn't matter if it has been washed or not!

Well... if not giving used (washed or otherwise) underwear to a new girlfriend is American, then all I have to say is...

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!

Have a polite day.

the manicure set is ok, but the underwear is a not! that's disgusting and she would probably feel very angry. would you like it if your girlfriend gave you her ex boyfriend's underwear?

not really... some things you could, like the manicure stuff, but underwear is kinda personal.

no! its gross, creepy, and cheap. That should be enough to stop you- knowing for yourself that its weird. However, if she were to ever find out, she'll know you are all of these things, in addition to inconsiderate, too lazy to spend time to pick something out for her, and just an all-around jerk. Seriously, this is the kind of thing that sitcoms and movies are made of. DONT DO IT!!!!!!!
