MY face becomes oily whenever i don't take a shower everyday. It bothers me. It especially gets oily around the area where my hair and and forehead meets, like in the front. How can i avoid this? Oily face also causes my hair to become oily and i don't like that. Are there any ways to solve this problem? Please tell me if you have any solutions, thanks.

You can't prevent it, but you can take some measures to lessen it. Washing 2-3 times a day. Use an astringent or toner afterwards. Bryan is right about the baby powder in your hair for absorbing oil, but a temporary fix. Eat more fruits and vegetables and lay off the fried foods. You have overactive sebacious glands. I don't care what others say. You can still wash your face and still be oily. They seem to think that you just don't do anything to have the problems that you have. It's just a part of growing up.

There's really not much you can do to stop your face being oily, that's just how your skin is.

And "the area where [your] hair and forehead meets" is a part of your T-zone, which also includes your nose.

To make your face LESS oily, you can do the following:

+Use Clean and Clear oil pads. I love them. You just press on your face with them, and the sheet soaks up any oil on your face. You can even see the results on the sheet when you're done! They come in a little blue (or green) rectangle, flat box and dispense blue pieces of "paper" oil pads. I use them twice a day.
+Drink LOTS of water. This will keep you hydrated and your skin healthy.
+Make sure you wash your face one to two times a day with an oil control, but not harsh, facewash like Neutrogena.

As for the oily hair, your hair would be making your face oily. That's why people who opt for bangs have acne around the bang area.

Good luck!

Oils build up and can clog pores, causing blackheads and other troubles. The oil also attracts dirt which causes bacteria to grow.
Your face should be cleaned daily. Just use a little soap (Ivory is good) with a washcloth and then rinse well. In the winter, it's good to apply a little lotion after cleaning as the skin can get dried out in the inside heated air.

As big a pain as it may seem Soap and Water are cheap price to pay for your oily condition. However there are products that are astringents like SEA BREEZE, that are a cross between several chemicals that will get rid of the oily condition. You can buy it at Wall mart or Walgreen's or about any drugstore.

Try washing your face on a daily basis.
I have the same problem and the only way I can prevent my face from becoming oily is to wash and moisturize every day.

dust , sweat , smog, they all are factors but you need to conquer it by showering daily, use a non drying shampoo for oily hair, very little conditioner and if you can, dont do much!! also, dont run your hands htru your hair that makes it very oily

I don't really have a solution, but showering everyday should be a part of your schedule. Once you hit puberty, please shower daily. Also a quick oil fix is Clean & Clear, Oil Absorbing Sheets

Yeah, just wash your face to take care of it. But if you're going out take some oil blotting sheats with and you can always go into the bathroom to blot.

Try to take a shower everyday. There are also some make up and skin products that can reduce the oil. They're sold anywhere. Hope that helped. :]

You should still be washing your face twice daily, even if not your entire body (shower).
