Why? The notation for Open and Free speech means one can share his or her views on the "For" and "Against" of something, isn't it?
You will be defeating the term "Open Forum" if a Forum is opened only to listen to "For" speeches.
If your idea is to a separate category for Atheism, I suggest it should be a separate category for "Christian" only ...... then you will have different denomination fighting amongst each other, that is not too good. It would be better to split into denomination then, then you have different churches fighting amongst each other, that is not too good as well. It would be better to split to different churches then, then you will have different fractions within the same church fighting with each other, then it is not good. We shall have different faction then, then you will different members within different factions fighting each other, it is not good ...... and then we go on forever.
Moral of the story, if you can't take the heat, stay out of the kitchen.

Um,that makes no sense, number one, and not everyone is here for you gain value from, number two. That is a bit arrogant to say the least.
Atheism is a belief system that could not exist without others belief in and concept of God or a higher power. If one did not study, discuss, or hear views on religion, they would not have the information to decide that they do not believe in it.
I thought that this was rather obvious..

OK, first, you could be non-religious, but spiritual. Putting that aside, even if there was such a category, I would still come to R&S section for the simple fact that it's so much fun reading some of the arguments between religionists and atheists. Anywho, you wouldn't get rid of me that easy!

No, I don't think so. The only way a person can make a competent decision about what they believe is by seeing all of the options, ideas, and philosophies first. And despite many people's irate disagreement, atheism counts as a spiritual philosophy.

What if you're non-religious but spiritual? Besides, atheism is part of religion and spirituality. It's the other side of it. Like a coin.
You know, miss spi, I'd like heart felt questions, instead of sarcastic ones!

Truthfully, even if there was another category for Atheists, I would still come here to try and save believers like yourself.
I know it is frustrating, but I am really concerned for my kids and for humanity, and want people to address the results of faith based belief, no matter what the flavor.

This isn't a message board. This isn't a discussion group. This is a question/answer site. If someone has a question or answer which pertains to religion &/or spirituality, it is appropriate that they bring it to this section. It's illogical to suggest that atheists "go elsewhere" simply because they're not going to provide answers which validate the preexisting notions harbored by believers.

Religious freedom is one of universal Human Right. And that same right that grants to you and to me to be religious, grants the right to not practice any religion. The same way how you and I have right to practice our religion that atheists have right not to believe in God or anything else.
But, I personally believe that atheists are also believers - they believe that there is no God.

This place is a rainbow. Extreme to extreme. And I think there's value in seeing the rainbow. I see the extremes pretty much cancelling each other out.
I say, bring it on, man.

No way! Do you know how many people who have lost their faith here? I did, and I have seen a lot of others become atheists here.
This place is perfect, absolutely perfect.
