We choose Christ by faith.
How would you propose to change a child's thinking so as not to allow this child to believe?

Children should be brought up in the faith. They should be taught at a young age just like Jesus was. Then when the child is at the age of accountability, the age that he or she can reason for themselves, they should make their own decision. But a parent should continue teaching the child the way he/she should go - that's what parenting is.

I somewhat have been a nanny/babysitter for 4 years and the main severe element is to inform the caregiver the guidelines which you have the 1st time you meet them. the final element you decide on is to have the babysitter be perplexed on a thank you to cope with a difficulty. additionally, the suited thank you to have a baby exchange into on the element of a babysitter (to the element of it not being a difficulty once you leave) is to have the baby know the caregiver- this is not achieveable till there are obstacles set and accompanied each and every time. There are actually not any suitable infants and babysitters could be allowed to self-discipline while they see in positive condition (interior the techniques you're delicate).

I think parents are allowed to raise and teach their children about their own beliefs, and then when they leave the house they can do what they want (same applies for other 'house rules', such as no drugs/drinking/smoking, having to go to bed at a certain time, eating your vegetables, curfew rules, etc).

At my church, children absolutely have the right to be saved. This is a commandment of God to not stand in the way of children. However, before being baptized, our preacher has several meeting, classes and discussions with the child first to make sure that it is something the child is doing on his/her own free will. It is a class type program along with personal one on one sessions with the pastor. This helps to make sure the child is doing it for the right reasons and not because there parents prompted them.

Let me answer that question with a question. Should parents be allowed to make the decision for their children as whether or not to be saved?

Nope! It's their life, let them screw it up however they will. People who push religion on their children rarely have a happy outcome. They could introduce the concept, but should not ever make a decision for any child. It only shows their lack of parental skills and lack of self confidence.

most religions that believe in being saved perform the ceremony when the child is of an age to decide for him/herself. Whether or not the child is actually making the decision, who knows, but theorhetically, the child, around 13, is making the decision.

being saved is a personal matter between you and your god, that being said the nature of organized religion is to pressure them into it. and most people will feel an unatural inclination to be saved at an early age. But in reality baptism by peer pressure is a normal part of religion and only you will know if youve been saved or not.

Yes they should
And they do
Because nobody can possibly make the decision for them.
Salvation is a personal thing and God does not allow parents to "make that decision" for them. So don't worry!
