God drowned babies, pregnant women, the disabled and many blind humans with violent death. If humans must confess their sins then should a God confess his sins as well?
God the bible have committed many sins or evil acts before but somehow no one want to admit them as sins or evil acts because a God commits such acts are not evil but humans or angels committing the same deeds are evil.
Believers should be a little bit more honest here.

Let's be honest to humanity itself and to intelligent itself.
An act of evil is an act of evil no matter who commits it. One cannot say God's act of evil is not evil. If that act alone is evil it will always be evil no matter who committed it. This is called justice.
An emperor should not have his own rules of law. This is why we have revolutions to overthrow an emperor. Same with a God, maybe this is why 2/3 of angels disobey this God because they saw how evil this God actually was.
Assuming all religions are for real and not men made up silly ideas to begin with.

Granted, but God never does evil.
Point one.
The Bible is the Word of God. If the Bible says that God has done something then is that not a confession? Or, as we usually call it, a revelation?
Point two.
Moral evil results from humankind's free choice to break the eternal law of God or counter God's will.
God calling someone to judgment is not an evil act. This is God's will.
However if we kill someone before God's wills them to die then we are placing ourselves in God's place. This is an evil act.
With love in Christ.

You're just going to get a lot of dogmatic answers here.
Nevermind the contradiciton that Christians fail to see. If whatever God does is Good by default, do Good and Evil really mean anything? There is only obedience and disobedience to authority. That's a far cry from a true concept of morality.

Please don't listen to *some* of the other answers here. Y!A is getting a bit restless tonight ;) In Confession, all the sins you forgot (not intentionally left out) are forgiven. Since you confessed it, but used the wrong words unintentionally, it's still forgiven. God is the one who forgives during Confession, remember, and God, being all knowing, knows your heart. =] So yes, it is forgiven. It's only not forgiven if you used the wrong words on purpose. Confession is a good thing! : "‘As the Father has sent me, even so I send you.’ And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and said to them, ‘Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained’" (John 20:21–23). "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will cleanse us from all unrighteousness." God bless!

Of course he should confess his sins! Except according to believers, god is always right whatever he does, and we the imperfect may not judge him. Etcetera. Except, of course, that god doesn't exist. So don't worry about it.
Peace.

God has never done an evil act. Everything he does is good. God has never committed a sin. So, sorry, but you are all wet.

God does not sin. He creates the standard for sin. Why would He create a criteria that He would fail? Many times He brought forth evil to mankind. But ofcourse He always claimed it for the good of humanity.

(James 1:13-15) 13 When under trial, let no one say: “I am being tried by God.” For with evil things God cannot be tried nor does he himself try anyone. 14 But each one is tried by being drawn out and enticed by his own desire. 15 Then the desire, when it has become fertile, gives birth to sin; in turn, sin, when it has been accomplished, brings forth death.

God does not sin. So no, he cannot confess a sin he has not committed. God is perfect, always has been, always will be.
