I believe so, yes.

I believe that ANYONE should have confidence that the faith to which they belong is the right one. I have no qualms about saying that I believe my faith to be right. Otherwise... why would I believe it?

Can you name one religious group that DOESN'T think so?

For the person that wrote the following:

"No. Any religion that forces its practitioners to chose death over surgery is evil and maladaptive. I normally am an advocate of tolerance for all faiths, but when it comes to groups that inflict OBVIOUS OBJECTIVE HARM on its members, I have an obligation to speak out against them (this includes the pseudo-religion also known as Scientology).

Excuse me but Jehovah's Witnesses do not choose death over surgery. Such a claim is nonsense.

How can I make that claim?

Mother in law had surgery, our child had surgery, my wife had surgery. That's three that proves you wrong.
_____

Would anyone like to refute me rather than act childish and give me thumbs down?

See above. By the way you will get another thumbs down from me
_____

Biblethumper: You may want to share your wisdom with the others in your church then because there have been 13 Jehovah's Witnesses that have refused SURGERY from me because they said their religion forbids it.

Since you bring up blood... you do know that most surgeries require transfusions correct?

Not so as many surgeries are now performed without blood, even those that just a few years ago might have required blood.

To paraphrase the surgeon who operated on my family, "Blood is for sloppy surgeons. Good doctors can operate without it."

Well, every JW's will say yes, if they didn't believe that their religion is not true, they wouldn't be in this religion. I say yes, becuause I belive that JW's religion is the true one but it's up to you to decide for yourself.

Well of course they believe that. If they believed the Catholic Church or the Baptist Church or the Mormon Church were the only true church, they would go to one of those. What is the point of a question like this. The nature of your question implies that you obviously believe that YOU belong to the only true church and no one else does. Obviously others don't agree or there wouldn't be so many different churches. Duh.

I believe so, yes.

You obviously believe yours is the right one or you wouldn't be in it.

Only a fool would be in a religion they didn't think was right.

There is no proper religion. For religion is a division of the truth.

I'll take two points.

Why do you hate witnesses so much? Sure, they can't prove their faith, but neither can you.

Get over yourself.
