What you are going to do about the father is a tough decision to make.

What you can do about your immigration status is easier. When you entered the U.S., you were given a form I-94. On that form, the officer endorsed your classification and the authorized period of stay. If you were admitted as a visitor, then you are very limited in what you are allowed to do in the U.S. without being subject to arrest and deportation.

You are not allowed to stay longer than authorized. You are not allowed to work. You are probably not eligible for any free health care outside of emergencies.

Staying in the U.S. in an illegal status can only compound the problem whereas being back in the U.K. puts you in familiar surroundings where you might find more support.

Confront the fellow and see what he says,if he want no part of you or the child,go back home.
Your relatives might not like it but they will help you far better than anyone here.
Depending on your age and ability to support yourself and the child, consider an adoption, you'll make a childless couple happy and it will provide you with a fresh start.

Getting knocked up by an American is nothing special. You have no right to stay. Unless you prove paternity, or the father admits it, the kid won't even be a US citizen unless it's born here.

Go home and have the kid there.

I think you are probably going to have to return to the UK- there isn't much more you can do until the baby is born- then you can hire a lawyer here in the US and file for child-support. He'll probably want a paternity test. Good luck

hmm....I suggest that you TELL him. Whatever maybe his response, it is completely YOUR decision. Are you hoping to marry him and stay with him? If you do not have proper visa, you may not be able to stay. Or marry somebody else. But you can always extend your visitng visa. Finding a job will be harder. However, there are companies that are willing to sponser. so begin to search for a job or a sponser, if he doesn't help you.

Do what's best for the child - not yourself. If you stay, do it the right way and become a citizen.
