horrible experience since yesterday where I feel like I'm going to have a bowel movement and I've sat in the restroom for over 2 hours! with nothing! I've taken 4 laxatives for that case yesterday and it's so hard to have a bowel movement with that so I have ceased taking laxatives so far. They are just horrible to pass and it takes a really long time and my stomach begins to hurt. :(

Eventually it will pass. But after 2 hours of straining?! that is absurd. It has happened today and yesterday. and there's only a little stool and I feel like there's this entire weight in me as if I have to go but I can't. :( what should I do? prunes? or is it time for a doctor to check this out?

First start drinking tons of liquid. Get some glycerin suppositories at any drugstore. Insert on and hold in in as long as you can. You will go! They are safe and do not cramp you. Just follow the directions, they are very simple to use. You may also want to buy a Fleets Enema and try it. Also, easy to use and no cramping. With Fleets the liquid you squeeze in can be uncomfortable while you hold it in, but again you will go! Increase your fiber (veggies and fruit) as well as liquid intake and that will keep you nice and regular. Feel better soon!

First try home remedies like these:

Soak raisins in a glass of water overnight. Drink the water in which raisins are soaked along with the soaked raisins early in the morning.

Soak six prunes in a glass of water overnight. Eat three of each in the early morning. Then, in the late afternoon, an hour or two before dinner, eat the remaining prunes.

Take at least 350 grams of grapes daily

Eat a medium-sized pear after dinner or with breakfast.

Drink a glass of hot water with sour lime juice and half a teaspoon of salt.

Swallow a teaspoon of linseed with water before each meal.

Eat a slide of raw papaya early in the morning.

Take 3 small beets, scrub them, clean and eat them raw in the morning.

Take 1 to 2 tablespoons of flaxseed with lots of water right after lunch or dinner.

If these remedies do not help, I suggest to visit your doctor.

This is going to sound wierd but what works wonders:...Go Lean Crunch! It is a breakfast cereal that is full of fiber to make you go the bathroom. So if you aren't crazy about the whole Prune Juice trick, I definately suggest Go Lean Crunch! Good Luck, I send you my sympathy :)
