It is clearly stated in scripture, but they have changed the word to judgment, or they remove the verse completely.

If there is no eternal damnation, then is their opinion that you can live as vile and evil a life as you want, and when you die, you just cease to exist?

Before anyone jumps on me about this, I was told this by someone who knocked on my door several years ago. He was offended when I would not even look at his literature.

They don't come knocking on my door anymore. They are a sect and despise God's righteousness. They have a form of godliness but deny its power. They are trying to get as many followers only to steal all their hard earned money. They believe heaven is in the sinful mind, and that heaven where God resides is a myth. They are weird people and false prophets......if you don't know how to deal with them, send them packing.
I make my point and stick with it, do you?

You are correct. If there is no hell...then why the heck be moral? Why even have the Ten Commandments? They miss the point that God also has a justice system just as man does. BUT God can't lie or make any false or unjust judgments. We each have our appointed day in court (Heb. 9:27) and we'll be judged by the Ten Commandments. That should be terriying...those guilty are sent to prison....the lake of fire! Those who repent...their fine was paid for them becuase of Jesus and only Jesus could pay it because He is GOD.

Hey P. June

Read Luke. 16:19-31 and Rev. 21:8. I know you're familiar with Revelation!

Vot

Those burning eternally isn't everlasing life. It's call the second death. Why did you miss that in Revelation? Shouldn't that be your favorite book?

Eternal damnation is not in the scriptures anywhere... Sheol is mankind's common grave... The scriptures show we were brought from dust and to dust we return... Asleep is asleep... No need to have to feel freaked out and think GOD would burn even wicked people for ever and ever...
If I thought that, I would be scared out of my pants... How sad it is for any child to be taught this...

Because it's not in the Bible.
Romans 6:23 "For the wages sin pays is death"

Jer. 7:31 "And they have built the high places of To′pheth, which is in the valley of the son of Hin′nom, in order to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire, a thing that I had not commanded and that HAD NOT COME UP INTO MY HEART’

Eternal damnation is a illogical concept at best. It places eternal suffering ahead of simple destruction on god's love scale, assuming he wishes us the best thing possible, and he is not sadistic.

Why should we?

If the gift of God is everlasting life, wouldn't those burning eternally have everlasting life, too?

The Bible does not teach hellfire. Where is it "clearly stated"?

Further:

Ok - and where does it state in those scriptures that "damnation" is burning forever in torment in hell?
