The end of life in my earthly body.

Death, is something very unique. We cannot know what it is unless we experience it and then come back to life and tell other people what its like. However, I think that death is when a person's body can't take it anymore and leaves its body and lets the spirit visit G-d, (I'm talking about natural death here).
So, don't worry about it, just pray so that you see your golden ages in future =]

Separation.

When Adam and Eve ate of the forbidden fruit in the garden, they died. Their rebellion severed the perfect nature of their relationship with God and therefore caused separation.

When our physical bodies cease to function we are separated from this physical world. Our lives continue but we are separated from this world.

If we have accepted Christ and been restored to relationship with God through the new birth then that separation has ended and when this physical life ends we will be present with God though temporarily separated from those still here physically.

Hope that helps.

A really long peaceful vacation from having to pay the Electric Bill and feeding my cat.

Especially feeding my cat. The little begger. Every day I feed that beast. And what do I get out of it? A furry hot-water bottle? She sleeps on my chest and sometimes crawls under my arm, sneaking under the covers.

And she purrs. Who came up with THAT noisy idea? I keep telling her to 'put it in gear and get moving' but she just keeps idling.

what were we talking about?

First of all, to Daniel, the one who answered this question first. Daniel, you have (in my opinion) the best answer.
In my friend's words:
"....death is not the end, in one sense, it is just a brand new beginning."
