I think it is very clear here the Catholic Church worries so much about illegals all their teachings are no longer being followed. If this ethnic group has the highest rates of teen pregnancy, abortion, and out- of- wedlock births, of any ethnic group in the country, it is clear the Church and it's message is lost. The sex scandals themselves have cost the Church billions and to this day the scandals continue. Cover ups, lying, child molesting priests. I think they want a batch of uneducated people they can mode and make them think whatever they tell them is gospel much like a cult. This Church spends way to much time and money on illegals and wonders why people are leaving in droves. The Catholic Church has a moral obligation to get it's own affairs in order before preaching about what they want everybody else to do when they do lack in some moral issues ongoing since the 50's or earlier, who knows

The Catholic Church has put themselves into Immigration race calling on Immigration reform ,calling out human rights,we don't own the land everyone can come and go but where does it mandate that illegal immigration also includes free government services, the right to break the laws of the host country.

I understand your question but you phrased it so harshly you probably won't get very many civil answers. I agree that the Catholic Church flouts the laws of this country when it comes to immigration. People need to understand, immigration laws exist to protect the citizens of the United States, not because we hate other countries and don't want their people in ours. Immigration in itself is not bad, but when unchecked is disastrous. Insurance cost rises, public education and health care deterioration, and rising unemployment rates are all directly and infallibly linked to unchecked immigration. That said, I am still eternally optimistic and naive, and hope that the Catholic Church aids in illegal immigration for the sake of humanity. I want to believe that priests and other officers of the Catholic Church are seeking to help immigrants to provide better lives for themselves and their families. If the Catholic Church just brought immigrants in and dumped them here that would be another matter, but the Churches almost always give aid after the immigration(monetary aid, food, shelter etc.)that comes from the churches own coffers. The Catholic Church (and most other religions that flourish in the United States) seek the approval of God first, not the President. I do believe that anyone caught aiding illegal immigration whether linked to a church or not should be subject to the laws of our country.

The church feels that the laws of God are above the laws of any nation. The church helps and serves God and all of God's children, not any government. Why do you keep blaming the Catholic Church for illegal immigration anyway? Last time I checked, enforcing immigration laws was the job of the government and the law enforcement, not the Catholic Church. If you care that much about illegal immigration, write to your representatives asking them to propose stricter immigration laws, instead of spewing hatred and religious prejudice. I would rather have 1,000,000 illegal aliens in this country than 1 anti-Catholic idiot like you.

While some will be screaming discrimination and "profiling" of the Catholic faith, others will use the term "pattern analysis".
While we are commanded by Christ to love mankind, love your neighbor as yourself, etc.- we are also commanded to submit ourselves to the "ordinances of man"- man-made laws.
I firmly believe it is possible to do both. Helping these folks to immigrate properly and legally is the right way to do this. Not hiding them in basements underground railroad style.

The Catholic Church is not concerned with government and it is the reason that it helps those who are in need especially the illegals.

A long time ago, there was a rumour that The Catholic church wants to conquer the world by overpopulating it. It is why they are against birth control. I always ignored it, because I thought those who told me this were paranoid nut cases. About a year ago, A Muslim Cleric was caught advocating the conquest of Australia using immigration and high birth rate . I am not stating the Catholic church advocate this protocal, nor am I stating the majority of Islam support such a behavior, but due to this new revelation and to be fair to all religion, I am going to re-evaluate my claim on those who I previously considered paranoid.

Created in the image of the one God and equally endowed with rational souls, all men have the same nature and the same origin. Redeemed by the sacrifice of Christ, all are called to participate in the same divine beatitude: all therefore enjoy an equal dignity.
The Catholic Church supports human rights and humane immigration law, not crime.
You shall not oppress an alien; you well know how it feels to be an alien, since you were once aliens yourselves in the land of Egypt. (Exodus 23:9)
The émigré Holy Family of Nazareth, fleeing into Egypt, is the archetype of every refugee family. Jesus, Mary and Joseph, living in exile in Egypt to escape the fury of an evil king, are, for all times and all places, the models and protectors of every migrant, alien and refugee of whatever kind who, whether compelled by fear of persecution or by want, is forced to leave his native land, his beloved parents and relatives, his close friends, and to seek a foreign soil. (Exsul Familia, Pope Pius XII, 1952)
"Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!" (The Statue of Liberty)
Jesus said, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself." (Matthew 22:39)
If we truly believe and live this greatest commandment then we believe that the earth, this country, everything we have are gifts from God, which we are called to share with our less fortunate neighbors.
With love in Christ.
