My feeling? Same ol', same ol'...
Look, when I came home from the first gulf war, I came home to an empty house. A year later -- I mistakenly believed we'd "worked" it all out, she filed for divorce. The judge there in San Diego said that because I'm a man and in the military, I'd make "a lousy father." He awarded her 1/2 of my income (with benies) and half of everything we owned. AND, our cat and our son. Four months later, she'd had the cat put to sleep -- he reminded her of me, and she abandoned our son. It took me almost 3 1/2 years to get my son back. And that same piece of liberal bullshit judge ordered her to pay all of $100 a month in child support. Never mind that she'd been at her job four years and was making within 75 cents an hour of what I was making after 11 years at mine. Why'd she leave me? She'd found some 30 something year old loser who was living in his momma's basement selling news papers and pot up in the Hillcrest area.
Until I hear her side of it, I'm not jumping on anyone's band wagon.

If this is true, I hope someone does to her what she deserves. I'm sorry but I don't sign petitions as much as I want to, while in the service my vote is my voice, and it is only me who knows what the voice is. I just personnly hold my own standard of seperating military from lawmakers, even though I know I can do things. I do not solicite nor write my congressman. I have held this true for many things I've seen as outrageous. But I sincerlly do hope you get what you are looking for, this is a wrong that needs to get fixed. In my eyes, which happens to be what the Constitution says, Federal Laws has premecy over all other laws.

This is not surprising, our court system is a mess in the U.S. and the spouse is often getting 1/2 of the retirement. This was fine when women, like my mother, gave up careers and dutifully followed and helped their husbands career. This is not the case anymore. Many times the wife will not even move when the husband does and keep their careers.
Nevertheless, I would have to know where this petition is going before I sign it. I do wholeheartedly support it. However, I know that congressmen pay little attention to petitions. They do, however like letter, not emails; faxed, not snail mailed, to their offices with return address of people who live in their constituencies.

I think women of military husbands are great and then there is yours which unfortunately it seems is the majority now they are mean selfish and have no desire for family thru sickness and health hahaha. The ultimate sacrifice you made for me and my country I thank you. If all it cost you is money to get rid of her then do it and let her get as far away as possible she is total poison and probably has cost you alot more than you even realize! My son is a soldier in Iraq his wife bought a brand new car when he came home on leave he had to wait till payday to go to Starbucks. I did not want my son to find out he did she was pregnant with her boyfriends baby and he and her drive that new car by my house on a daily basis shame on all of you stupid women out there that dishonor our soldiers where is your soul! Good luck sir and let your attorney handle it we have proof of adultery so our lovely daughter n law will not get a dime and the car it is not worth a long divorce to fight with her we want her and her boyfriend to go as far away as possible!
