Stick to shopping..... It's a fairy tale in a poorly written 2000 year old text.

I'm also "against" the tooth fairy, unicorns, flying monkeys (rectally produced or otherwise), and pappa smurf.

PS.... two words spell--check

Okay, just to clarify, this should be your question:
Why are you against God?
So many people are against God here on Yahoo Answers. I don't understand why someone would be against him; he is almighty God!

I am not against God in essence, but the publicised God (the Judaic-Christian God *shudders*) has so many inconsistencies that I am amazed each and every time I read criticism of the religions.

Here are some examples of the inconsistencies I'm talking about:

Omnibenevolence = God is all good.
Omniscience = God is all knowing.
Omnipotence = God is all powerful.

If God is all knowing, surely he is powerless because he already knows everything that has been and will be. Therefore he is not omnipotent. If God is all knowing, he cannot be omnibenevolent because he would have to know evil. If God is all powerful, he cannot be all good because he must have created evil.

The God in the Old Testament is vengeful. The God in the New Testament is loving.

The list goes on...

The more appropriate question is: Why are so many people convinced by the Judaic-Christian concept of God?

I'm not against God. To me that makes about as much sense as saying I'm against Zeus.

Fairy tales and mythology are fun!

The problem is, some people, and I'm not mentioning any names here, take it WAY too seriously!

They do Blasphemy against God. they declare to have evidence of it in bible scripture.. i will agree god (if there is one and that's something like what the bible says) is indignant and jealous confident! nut if he hated us like they say he's only wipe up and circulate away them... only like the flood, and Sodom/Gomorrah i think of the human beings at WBC are lots greater possibly to circulate to hell than your standard atheist or gay using fact in a scene there putting words into god's mouth while the evidence preaches a message of compassion and sacrifices all be it somewhat twisted using church intervention and translation (no offense mainstream Christians only my opinion i do no longer recommend to offend) WBC have been given what it deserved from nameless and that they could desire to take yet another look at there bible

I'm not against the Christian/Jewish/Muslim deity.

Some of his followers do irritate me. Others inspire. It's a shame that most Christians can't seem to accept the fact I have a different religion, this is where I'm meant to be and that my religion is just as valid as theirs.

I cannot be against an imaginary being, since such a being does not exist!

However, I am certainly against any belief in such imaginary beings. Such beliefs are non-sensical and lead to poor understanding of our world and responsibilities.

i'm an atheist, and i'm not an against god, i just don't believe he exists.
so there's really no way i could be against him.
i am, however, against the church for all the sh*it they've caused over the past couple thousand years.

First of all, I am not against your god because I do not believe he exists.

Secondly, your name goes against your beliefs. Excessive shopping is greedy, don't you think?
