Yep. Read it, study it, and pray about it for yourself.

This book of which you speak converted me to Jesus Christ and brought me to my knees in repentance. I was not a believer in God or Christ before although I visited many Christian churches. The Spirit of God spoke to me through this book and I was spiritually reborn. I thank God for this book. I've watched countless others have similar experiences with the Book of Mormon.

If you read the Book of Mormon, with "real intent" to know of its validity, and humble yourself enough to ask God in prayer about it, sincerely wanting to know the answer if it is God's word or not, he will reveal the truth of it to you. God wants you to know truth. And if you sincerely ask him in prayer, he will provide that to you.
How can I say this? I have done so, and can testify to the world that the Book of Mormon is the word of God.

Yea verily, for thus saith the Lord: a man can get closer to Christ through reading this book than any other.

Here's what the Bible says about the Book of Mormon,
the so-called other testament of Jesus Christ or
any other book besides the Bible
that claims to be from God:
Galations 1:6 I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, 7 which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ. 8 But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. 9 As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed.

Joseph Smith was probably the first New Age prophet. One of his more interesting ideas was given in a sermon usually referred to as the "King Follett Discourse" or "King Follett Sermon" (it was at the funeral of guy named, oddly enough, King Follett). In that he says:
"God himself was once as we are now, and is an exalted man, and sits enthroned in yonder heavens! That is the great secret. If the veil were rent today, and the great God who holds this world in its orbit, and who upholds all worlds and all things by His power, was to make himself visible—I say, if you were to see him today, you would see him like a man in form—like yourselves in all the person, image, and very form as a man; for Adam was created in the very fashion, image and likeness of God, and received instruction from, and walked, talked and conversed with Him, as one man talks and communes with another."

You would be greatly benefitted if you read the book of Mormon as it was first written with all the mistakes such as the use of the american name sam and and the french word adieu. All supposedly translated from reformed egyption hyroglyphics. A language scholars say never existed. http://www.godandscience.org/cults/smithsonian.html
