Smoking doesn't cause burping; just cancer, heart disease, under-developed babies and so on.
I've been smoking for over 40 years and it hasn't effected me a bit. Hack, hack! Also I've never had an under-developed baby. However that may have something to do with the fact I'm a man.
My recommendation even though I'm a committed smoker- GIVE IT UP. Your girlfriend will preserve her health and save a bundle of money to boot.

If it were normal she would have been born with the ability to burp and feel like vomiting.. no it is not a normal reaction.. have here chew some ant-acids.. tums will do..by the way some smoke does enter the stomach and it could cause this type of reaction.

I've never heard of cigarettes doing this. Instead it sounds a LOT like esophageal reflux.
Everyone has occasional episodes..... but if your friend is having frequent episodes it can be a very very serious condition and MUST be seen by a dr. Smoking may be an added irritant, but not the cause by itself.
Untreated, the condition can worsen, making eating difficult. My sister had this condition to such an extent she wasn't able to eat solids.
This can cause scarring and damage to the esophagus and creates a condition ripe for inoperable cancer. nothing to screw around with.

She's smoking too much. I've been a smoker for years now, and if I overdo it in a day, I feel pretty sick and have actually gagged on occasion.
But better off lying to her and tell her that it means she's highly allergic, so she quits. If she's been smoking less than 6 months.....quit.
I used to think my first year of smoking that i could quit anytime i wanted to.......10 years ago.

It sounds like she's inhaling air into her stomach as she's taking drags off the cigarettes. After enough air builds up in her stomach it will make her burp and she's obviously inhaling smoke into her stomach as well, which is aggravating the stomach acids give her acid reflux...
It's embarrassing that she's a bad smoker she should quit on that basis alone.

It may not be smoking related because she has been smoking for a while my guess would be possibly something she ate but if the nausea persists, I would see or call a doctor. Doesn't sound right.
Acid reflux would be dumping stomach acid into her throat causing a very bad burning sensation, not nausea. Keep your eye on her. If it gets worse, take her in
And quit the smoking, it's nasty

yes. they can. it is the body getting use to the higher levels of nicotine. that is how a lot of people get addicted because the higher the level of nicotine the higher the high you get. my advice is to quit. i myself use smokeless tobacco where the nicotine levels are a lot higher. i can remember getting sick when i first started all those years ago. also with smoking you are increasing nicotine levels and starving the body of oxygen witch is causing the dizzyness and nausea. my advice is to quit the habit now. it should not be that difficult if she just started smoking. it will be harder as time goes on.

its a certain drug in the cigarette i forget which one she is just trying to smoke them to quickly if you smoke alot in a little period of time exspecially if you are new at it, it will get you sick, but you should really just not smoke just to let you know it turns your teeth, fingers, and the white of your eyes yellow not appealing at all plush you smell like an ash tray stop smoking for at least a day and the feeling should go away

Sounds like acid reflux - I get it if I smoke too much - she could take anti-indigestion tablets if she still wants to carry on smoking, or maybe just quit?
