what is a good martini to make for new years?

I would like some new ideas. I usually like drinks that include cranberry and pineapple juice. Love vodka and malibu rum too. Any ideas would help.

this drink is absolutely amazing.

tropical heat

1 oz. midori
1/2 oz. coconut flavored rum
1/2 oz. banana liqueur
2 oz. sweet and sour mix
2 oz. pineapple juice

mix all ingredients together in a shaker tin full of ice, pour into martini glass and garnish with a pineapple and banana slice.

The Bell Martini

2 oz. Cranberry Vodka
2 drops Dry Vermouth (use less vermouth for a drier martini)

Combine all ingredients in cocktail shaker with ice. Shake vigorously for 30 seconds. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
Garnish with Pineapple bit.

Chocolate Martini-Yummy

1 oz Vodka
1 oz Crème de cacao
Pour into a martini Shaker over ice, Shake vigorously. Strain, Pour into a chilled martini glass - No Ice (Up) Preferred* or over Ice (Rocks)

Garnish with cherries, cranberries or chocolate sprinkles.

Crown Apple Martini (drinking one as I speak)

-1 part Crown Royal
-1 part Sour Apple Pucker
-2 parts cranberry juice.

Mix in cocktail shaker over ice. Strain and serve.
Soooooo yummy! Tastes like candied apple!

First of all: Martini's are made with Gin not vodka.

The way to make a Martini is to start with a good Gin. You can make the Martini up or on the rocks. If you want Vermouth, please just whisper the word over the drink, nothing more. If on the rocks, just garnish with a good stuffed olive. If up, then stir with ice and strain into an up glass and garnish with a good stuffed olive.

Nothing more, nothing less.

Lemon Drops are really yum:
1 part limoncello
2 parts simple syrup
1 part lemon juice
1 part vodka
- Rim the glass by dipping it in lemon juice, then yellow sugar crystals

Coconut Martini
2 parts coconut cream (just get the can from the grocery store)
1 part malibu (coconut flavour)
3 parts vodka
- Rim it with shredded coconut
