Christians,

If gluttony is a sin, why feast on Christmas?

If sloth is a sin, why be lazy on Sunday?

If wrath is a sin, why talk of smiting people?

If lust is a sin, why have sex at all (sex requires lust; it does not require love)?

If greed is a sin, why keep your money?

If pride is a sin, how do you have any self-confidence (after all, you need to take pride in your accomplishments and not get too down about your failures to have self-confidence)?

If envy is a sin, how do you strive to follow in the footsteps of your role model?

Thank you in advance for clarifying this. :)

A person can eat without being a glutton (pig as you are). A person can rest on Sunday without being lazy (slob like you are). A person can have wrath without wanting to smite someone (as someone you do to you). A person can have sex without jhaving lust for that person (as no one ever will for you). A person can have money without being greedy (its called charity, try it sometimes or are you a charity case?). A person can have self-confidence and still be humble. A person can be oneself intstead of following in the footsteps of others (like the lemming that you are). And I ain't even Christian, just someone who doesn't like people who poke fun at others. Just because you are disliked by both sexes doesn't make you Satan's little delivery boy/girl. Wipe your nose.

gluttony - obessing over food, not simply having a feast

sloth - lazy on Sunday? Where'd you get that from?

wrath - smiting people? Once again, where did you get that from?

lust - sex does not require lust. lust is having sex without love

greed - many christians donate a good portion of their income

pride - is putting yourself first thinking you are better/deserve more than others, you don't need pride to have self confidence.

envy - you don't have to be envious of your role model

Every single time I see you asking a question on here, you always dissing Christians. What is yo problem homeboy? Are you a serious atheist? I mean I ain't got no problem with atheist, I have friends who are atheist but dude what is yo problem? First of all: gluttony is eating just for pleasure, and when you eat on Christmas Day you eat for tradition and pleasure. God don't punish us for stupid stuff like that. And who said we actually honor the sabbath day homeboy? I know I don't. And I don't know many other Christians who do. And who said we talk of smiting people? And God created sex for marriage. And marriage does require love. And with money, dude, have you not heard of offerings. Any and Everyone needs to keep alittle money to survive!!!!!! Duh!!!! And ain't nothing wrong with self-confidence!!!! It's way better than having low self esteem. God wants us to feel good about ourselves!!!!!!! And last but certainly not least, my role model is Jesus Christ is my role model!!!! And I don't give a care what you or your other atheist friends think!!!! You'll know in the end!!!!! You need to get yo facts straight homeboy!!!!!! GOD BLESS YOU!!!!!!!

Sin is the transgression of God's law. Plain and simple. Not at all people choose to feast on Christmas. It is a pagan holiday of several different cultures traditions. Some choose to be lazy on Sunday. We all become angry at times and say things we really don't mean. Learning to control one's behavior and words takes time and practice. Lust is wanting someone that is not yours to have. Illicit sex takes two people who lust. One must be stronger than the other and not follow through on the actions of what is in their thoughts.Greed is wanting more than you need. Some believe they are a bigger and better person if they have more. Some are materialistic and I believe in a sense some actually hide behind their possessions because they are not content and satisfied with themselves. I wouldn't say pride in one's accomplishments is a sin. I would think bragging and boasting about oneself is wrong. Coveting is hard to control to say the least. If one wishes to follow a role model wouldn't that mean they admire a certain quality or qualities about that person? Following the wrong qualities is wrong. We all must work on our character. It's difficult at times, but since we're with ourselves 24/7 why not? We are our worst and best critics really.

The bible say we are all born sinners Christians or not no exception. No Christian is perfect everyone have faults becuase we are all flesh and blood. The important thing is that whatever mistakes we make in life there is always a lesson to learn. If you are perfect be the first to cast the stone. Each person will sin until the day they die but as long as you are not in denial of that and you sincerly ask for forgiveness you'll be ok.

I don't consider having a feast at celebrations gluttony

Sloth is a sin but we are supposed to rest on the Sabbath

I don't think I have EVER seen anyone in here talking about smiting anyone, maybe I did - once

Lust for someone other than your spouse is a sin

We need money to live just like anyone else. But the Bible instructs Christians to give 10% of their income

Uhhhh, pride and self-confidence are two different things

That last one doesn't even make sense

But I think you knew the answers to the questions w/o having to ask them.

there is a difference between gorging yourself and having a feast with your family

the reason why we are suppose to not work on sunday is to worship God

you are generalizing when you talk

good question, though God made us attracted to people (of the opposite sex) for a reason. and he created sex as a beautiful thing.

...... to live. duh.

you may be humble when talking to someone, but also confident in yourself, you should learn the meaning of the words you use before you use them.

I think that it would be impossible to live a life not wanting what someone else has. Instead i think that this is a misinterpretation, i think that there is a difference between wanting something and dwelling on your desire for something.
