I don't think necessarily it links to your soul, but I whole heartedly believe that the eyes tell all. You can tell exactly how a person is feeling through their eyes. Eyes show sadness, pain, happiness, fear, and even love and trust. The most fundamental aspects of all.

Yes, our eyes are how our soul sees the cosmos -the universe that we all live in.
Soul awareness may be gradual or sudden. Mine was very sudden at age 36. "Wow ! I am just like me !!" That started my really wholehearted search for more Truth ! Yes ! Seek some Truth and more Truth will be given to you when the time is right. Most reality seeking humans become more soul aware around ages 30-40.
It has been revealed that mature, God-seeking humans are actually here and now living souls having a body as a tool to perceive and work here in the universe ! Our souls have a body; and not the inverse -- that our body has a soul somewhere within.
How do our souls grow? When we freely choose to do God's spirit will within our minds, (not in our brain) this Divine-human will-union on that event-decision produces a larger, more real, more Spirit-led soul you. We survive death as progressing souls not mere physical bodies. "Ashes to ashes and dust to dust".
The highest Realities in a human are Personality and God's spirit will within. God lets the human personality direct here the perfect spirit will of God --"the still, small Voice of God within". Cooperating with the will of God grows YOU more as a potentially eternally living soul being ! The soul, re-personalized (same You personality !) up in the next Heaven, will be given a much more real mind and super-body ! Much later, we will ascend and perfect more to receive a much higher 1st spiritual stage body ....and so on to eventual 7th stage final Spirit body. (a super-super body with more and more spaceless and timeless capacity to function on Paradise and still be able to go out into the new universes to infinity in many new adventures with our Creator Father-Son Jesus Christ without end !
God's Gifts of Spirit perception and soul discernment are all more real than just seeing with our physical eyes.

Of course ! Haven't you ever looked at someone u care about. Family member or someone your in love with and just new by there eyes how they felt. The eyes never lie. That's why there the windows into ones soul. Through them your heart sees the truth and lies one trys to hide. With out words being said you could say I'm in love with you . With just your eyes alone. Or see the pain in ones eyes . Even when there lips dyne it with a smile. If you truly want to know the true about how she feels . Just look deep into the windows of her soul. There Ly's the answers you seek. : )

I belive that they mean that you can judge a person's mood by the eyes...
In US Culture we tend to focus on the mouth when we look for an emotion but the rest of the world uses the Eyes as the determination of someone's mood.
I know that Japanese people in particular see American's as "Fake" because our eyes rairly match the emotion we are trying to project with the rest of our face.
I have learned to really look at someone's eyes when trying to judge mood, sincerity, and even charactor...
It is much harder to control what our eyes do then it is to control what our mouth does.
Though, now that I know what to look for I have practiced changing my eye "expressions" in the mirror so now I am much better at looking sincere or happy or confident... whatever look I'm going for.
An Asian person would tell that I'm posturing but Americans are clueless...

Try this...after you do something you know you shouldn't or hurt someone's feelings for instance,,,talk back to your Mama,,,,go look in the mirror...look deep into your own eyes....do you feel ashamed and does it show in your eyes?
If you can look at your own self in the mirror and feel good about yourself, you are doing all right. So, I think it is true.

It's just an expression mening a person's true feelings can be seen through their eyes.
Only hardened con artists can completely disguise their true feelings.
