Okay im in middle school and i have my first boyfriend ever. Im his first girlfriend too. We are both very awkward lol. Like on the phone we have awkward scilences alot, and when he comes over were just like yeah.......so....
But i really like him, and i can tell he likes me alot too but i need to stop being awkward because i want to be the kind of girlfriend thats easy to be around or talk to. He does and says alot of sweet stuff and all i can do is smile and look down really.
PS: our relationship is really innocent, were not going to do anything too over the top. i havent kissed him yet..but new years is tmr..maybee
i know my question isnt too clear, but...advice would be really apriciated! Im spending new years eve with him and a couple other friends :DDD what do i do then?

try to find somethings that he likes to talk about.
get some topics ready ahead of time, so that you have somethign to say during awkward silences
if you go to the same school, its always easy to talk about people you know.

I'd suggest going out in groups/double dating some. That way you can still be with him, but you'll also be around some other people to help cut down the awkward silences. Hopefully by doing that you'll become more comfortable being with each other, and can move on from there. =D

In the movie Pulp fiction they speak of comfortable silence. meaning there is nothing to say yet they feel comfortable being around each other anyway. There is nothing wrong with that, if you don't have anything to say, don't say anything. It's your presence that counts. And don't worry so much of what anyone thinks of you, worry more about what you like and what you don't like

Be proud of who you are. The reserved types are the best imo. The only disadantage to them is that they don't like to get out, but it looks like you are willing to do that. Well I can't say what to do on New Year's Day, but isn't a celebration hug common and normal, even for friends?

At the beginning of relationships, yeah, its gonna be awkward.
But the longer you guys are together the more comfortable your gonna be with each other and the silences wont be too awkward anymore.

maybe you should kiss him, but make sure you have "the moment" before kissing him. (staring into each other eyes, or someting like that)
