Jesus said his followers would be objects of hatred. Peter also said when you are persecuted, rejoice because that means you are worshiping the Father the way he requires and the people of the nations don't like being exposed as being hypocrites. This includes false religion.
Interesting.

They are lovely and kind people. They preach because of Matthew 24:14- "And this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come" and Acts 20:20- "while I did not hold back from telling YOU any of the things that were profitable nor from teaching YOU publicly and from house to house"

The message we teach is about God's Kingdom being the only real hope for earth and the people on it. This burns like acid in the minds of people who link themselves to this corrupt old system of things.
In the deepest recesses of their brains know that nothing man has done for 6,000 years has worked so far and unity of purpose is one thing they never will reach.
They have never managed it with the US Congress in its history. Why does anyone expect a sudden change? History shows the Congress from the beginning had its corruptions as did every other form of government.
We are also hated when it comes to our unity. As Christian Family or Congregation, race or national origin is not a factor. Unity in belief is also disturbing to the world. We make changes in ourselves to adjust to God's way of thinking and not try to adjust God to ours. With this unity, it means we do not fight against those like us in faith as the nations do.
Have you not considered in war, the other side has those of the same religions being killed and clergy on both sides praying, assuring God is on BOTH sides?
As Jehovah's Witnesses, we support only God's Kingdom government as Jesus instructed ALL true Christians to do. We actually OBEY. Isn't that the craziest thing? Really doing what the Bible commands! What a concept!
It bothers people even more when we obey all the laws of whatever country we live in unless they are in conflict with God's higher laws. At a time when it is a given to break the speed laws, cheat on taxes, steal, lie, as long as they think no one is looking and they don't get caught, it bothers people when there is a group who believe we should behave the same whether some cop is watching or not.
These are just some of the many reasons JWs are hated not just the fact we are correct as being Christ-like or following Christ and Jesus said we would be hated.

I have no problem with Jehovah's Witnesses overall. I admire their faith and commitment. However, I have issues with you telling everyone else they believe in a false doctrine and with you mocking Mormon beliefs. That is not Christlike nor are you a decent representation of the majority of JW's I have met.

I don't think that it's profitable to hate anyone, and you have to admire their tenacity. If they don't have the answers to the simple points that somebody like me brings up however, maybe they'd better be better prepared before they go out evangelizing. I don't openly evangelize for three simple reasons:
1. I am a teacher and I don't want to open the floodgates for all of the other isms that would like access to our educational institutions
2. If my life isn't a witness, nothing I say is going to make any difference anyway
3. I get more than enough business from people who openly ask me about what I believe.
It could be that this type of ministry is more effective. I couldn't say for anybody but myself. It certainly is more joyful for me, and it seems to be just as effective, at least!

The Bible tells us that those who strive to follow the teachings of Christ would be mistreated.
Honestly, most of the people I know, who very much know I am a Witness, certainly don't hate me, unless they keep it very secret.

Many people are just uninformed or prejudiced. Many people opposed Jesus while he was on Earth, mainly the religious leaders of that day.
You can arrange a study with the local Witnesses in your area and see for yourself if your Bible knowledge increases or decreases.

A better question is, why do Jehovah's witnesses hate everyone else?
They don't want to mingle with family that isn't JW.
They believe all will die if they don't become JW.
They don't get involved with helping anyone else in disasters but their own sect.
That is pretty selfish, for believing one is the only true religion.
They preach to save themselves.....

Why do Jehovah's Witnesses believe they are hated? People don't hate JWs. I think most JWs have a difficult time understanding the difference between hatred or persecution and the unpopularity of their beliefs and teachings. I think most people just don't swallow their teachings and JWs view this as being hated.

The don't believe in the new testament, they try very very very very hard to bring you to their religion, they are people that do not celebrate anything and everything is offensive to them.
I wouldn't say hate, such and ugly word, but more like... DISLIKED by a large amount of people

Because they knock on ur door and don't just leave u to make ur own mind up. most of my family are Jehovah's witnesses. but that's what they're supposed to do spread the word!!!! apparently. i can't be bothered with religion I've seen too much hurt, upset and suffering because of it. Happy new year. grnlow what BS!!!!! u chat complete s#*@t! I don't hate the witnesses but it really annoys me, my dad has proved their beliefs to be wrong to their faces at the front door and they still believe it's true. Each to their own but let US make our own minds up rather than SPREADING the word, the word is SPREAD now leave us be if we choose to follow we will if not then that's our loss isn't it. gumby i agree totally! happy new year. auntb that's just ridiculous! that is not the case at all! i was brought up with it i went to meetings for years and had bible studies and what you attatched there is tosh! absolute rubbish! they're not BAD people just annoying and they don't do anything to kids, their children are mainly polite and well behaved. I don't believe it is a cult either. Why is 1 persons belief a religion yet anothers a cult? it's rubbish. Yes they do say that if you don't become a jehovahs witness then u will not recieve everlasting life in paradise on earth, i don't care i am not going to be blackmailed or scared into doing anything, my mum has had breakdowns over this, i've seen her sobbing her heart out because she wants her children to be there and it goes through me but it's what she believes. She was brought up catholic and was treated very badly by the catholic church she was with, then they refused to take her name off the catholic register, 'once you're a catholic you're always a catholic'. OMG what is it all about?????? yes i look around and see an amazing planet, i know there's a whole universe that goes on and on and on. We have plants and trees and water and animals and life everywhere we look, does that mean that there HAS to be a god? NOBODY knows 100% no matter what anybody says. What makes you think the 'TRUTH' is actually the truth?
