Others don't have any control over whether you post helpful examples when you ask a question or not, and you have the freedom not to, but patience is allowed.

Where in religion, specifically which religion and where in it's doctrine, is the word "allowed" used?
I'm asking this as a legitimate question. I don't believe that I've come across this term in Catholicism or in any of the Protestant faiths that I've had the opportunity to learn about.

We were all raised to believe we are free. We believe we are free because we are constantly being told we are free, when in fact we are not free. Allow is not freedom, it's permission. It's control, complete control, slowly so no one notices or objects until it is too late.

You have complete & total freedom of choice.
But when your choice impedes the freedom of another,
then it becomes a selfish act, & therefore a sin, if you do it.
You are still free to do it, but when you realize it's wrong,
then you'll need to repent & change your ways.

It's not freedom. Religion is actually bondage. Most religious people who come to use Answers can't make a difference is anyone else's lives so they try to see if anyone will buy their crap online. fortunately, I don't.

It means permissible, you can do, it is not prohibited.
It is not control. It is telling us what we can do and what we can't do. Disobedience to Allah is sin and obedience to Allah deserve reward. It is only to let us know what is right thing to do and what is wrong thing to do.
Allah says in Quran, save yourself and your family members from hell fire. If a father or husband allows to do children every thing they want to do (haram or halal), how can he protect them from hell fire? Therefore Islam directs us what we can and what we can't.

We are free in America as long as we do not get caught committing a crime. We are free to be as open minded and liberal as we wish as long as we do not mention the name of Jesus. We are free to ask questions and answer them here as long as we don't violate the community guidelines. I am free for you to love me until I believe something you don't.
That's freedom.

honestly i feel more freedom when I'm obeying Gods commandments because I'm not a slave to myself. its kind of like budgeting your money. people are so afraid that they are restricting themselves but really its giving you more controll over yourself, making you free of the bondage of debt. God gives us agency. we dont have to follow his commandments, but we will pay the consequences or receive our reward. God is merciful, but he is also just.
